I'm going, and I'm terribly excited. Haven't been back to Athens since I graduated in 98. And it's in the same theater where I saw the Roots, Violent Femmes, Carrot Top (yikes), and Barry Williams (more yikes).

I've decided to do things a bit more professionally (with the anticipation of a debut release this spring). So I'm looking into joining one of these organizations (or one like them). Can anyone toss me a line here? Pros? Cons? Benefits? Any and all help is much appreciated.

I've secured a monthly engagement at a local coffee shop. One section of my show includes some songs about pie: "Pecan Pie," "Country Pie," and I've even played "Pieholden Suite." I got two free downloads from iTunes because of some tickets I bought, but I've never used iTunes. I downloaded the software and set up an account. Now I'd like to get "Let's Not Get Carried Away." However, even in the shopping cart view, there's no place in input a promotional code. It will only let me buy it outright. I'm going to purchase an electric guitar, and I've been lured to gold hardware (on an Epiphone Dot Deluxe). Will this stuff (like the pickups) tarnish? I'd rather not have to deal with a ton of maintenance on this thing if it can be helped. Thanks for your responses.

So I'm in the market for an electric guitar, wanting to shift from acoustic, and I've decided to go with a hollow body or semi-hollow body. However, I'd like to keep this purchase under $1000, so I've played some Epiphones and Gretsch guitars. Anyone out there who can offer help and/or recommendations? Thanks.
