I was standing on the landing by the bar for most of the show, but I slipped down front for this tune (one of my very favorites), because the bar/pool table area was far too chatty for just Will and his accoustic. Then it was much too steamy down there to stay. It's no wonder the Bottleneck doesn't utilize much stage lighting. The musicians would spontaneously combust. Kinda surprised they didn't play (the tune) Kansas City.

Yeah, they pretty muck kicked ass last night. I've seen countless shows at the Bottleneck, but this will go down as the steamiest.

I've never understood why these guys haven't reached the next level. They are fine musicians and Roy Barry is a merciless drummer. Nichols has got to be one of the most charismatic front men to hit the stage in a long time and he's got a way with the tunes. Christ they never stop touring. I hope this does it for them. They are all really humble, genuinely good guys.

Sadly, I have been saying these kinds of things since I was a teenager.

Oh dear god. Sarah just had me order these for her: I think I was a 7th grader when I got my first pair too. At least Bethanydear dresses like a girl.

It occurs to me that maybe when we stop arguing about religion/abortion/teen pregnancy/old men lusting for shapely vp noninees/the wisdom of flying on an airplane after your water has broken, instead of defining the work and responsibility of running this fucking country... THEN MAYBE OUR ELECTED OFFICIALS AND NEWS MEDIA WILL STOP SHOOTING US UP WITH DOPE. Bloody hell this is embarrassing.
