So the idea is that you post something in here and someone else makes up a sampler that artfully skits the 'don't give away commercial releases' vs 'put together 10 or so songs that represent an artist' dilemma. so, you music freaks, does anyone have an extensive 'Frogs' collection that could YSI something up? I sampled a one song called ' Star (Boy)', but know next to nothing (well ok, I read the Allmusic Blurb) about the band. That mixture of gayness/humour and pop music seems right up my alley.

That Cigarette song is certainly getting a ton of deserved recognition. I'll go with Rank and File - Sundown. 'cept I don't really have possession of the LP anymore...

Apropos of nothing, but there's a new Guy Madden film out called My Winnipeg: I would imagine Sampson being effected by the same magnetic forces. more.. and I can't wait to see the film. from http://www.theglobeandmail.com/servlet/sto...pageRequested=1 there really is a pretty cool arts community there. Madden, Sampson, Fellows, Romi Mayes, Jason Tait, Leanne Zacharias.... It is certainly One Great City! And up above us all leaning into the sky Our golden business boy will watch the north end die And sing 'I love love this town' Then let his arcing wrecking ball pr -

Shit you're right. I better change that to one year from now, 16 gig nano, here I come (I guess I was so expecting a doubling of size, I completely left reality behind)

Always loved that FP album cover. Yeah - on a huge Ronnie Lane kick. Haven't listened to much of it for a number of years.

I'm not feeling it. Perhaps it is the drum machines and the frankly terrible version of Way Down In The Hole. This is like a usual 'only just OK' Steve Earle album.
