I was there for one of the nights and fool myself to thinking that a 'woohoo' made it onto the recording. Probably not though.

When I joined the navy I left my mother I met a man, a man like no other Well he wore a stud And he wore a patch And he sailed the seven seas now And he wore a Stentson hat With he was a six-shooter And a Buccaneer He was a black bearded cowboy He told me in my ear A man of my caliber, exactly can

Same here, on both counts. Took a while to get the voice, but now the Bastards are sorta filling a PJ Harvey/Sleater-Kinney void. MMJ = (jam-band + reverb) squared = me not like. NP= Apostle of Hustle - My Sword Hand's Anger http://www.arts-crafts.ca/apostleofhustle/index2.html

La* just told me that Elliott BROOD (past wilco openers, all around nice guys/talented/nutcase/if Sixteen Horsepower were Satantists/musicians) will be playing Schubas in Chicago on February 25th. This is one of the few times that they have toured outside Brampton. Go, you will have a great time. When it came out, part of the criticism was that it was 7 or 8 years too late and not that different from any Jayhawks release. I sorta read all that stuff and bought the complete catalogue, went to see him a couple times and did some pimping. Anyway, the three albums are sorta timeless. np: (too bad this thing substantially trails off. A couple more good songs and it would be a great cd)

I like these juried competitions, like the Mercury and the Polaris - and I've only heard of three of these acts (yai, bob evans and augie march are all excellent). Some Convict willing to give some impressions: http://undercover.com.au/News-Story.aspx?id=1253

'Jan 24, 2007 Mount Forest Old Roxy Theatre' what the hell? 'Mount Forest, Ontario, Canada, population 4,585 (2001), is a village located in the Township of Wellington North, County of Wellington.'

I can't understand how the touch of her hand on my cheek leaves me feeling so weak in the knees and blue. She pulls her hair back the same way I've seen you do. I've had enough my recovery's tough and I'm not out here looking to start up with someone new. So in the end just before I surrender I'll make believe that she's you. Beautiful faces I've seen in these places could make your heart heavy and sad with a drink or two. I don't need that yet I've got a sea of regret to go through. She sits here waiting while I'm still debating there's a cold night ahead we'd be helping each other thro

sorry, wish I could find the original mix. I love it more. Love the JT/JB song on the thing: 'and so in the end, just before I surrender, I make believe that she's you'

And Vandalism I know this guy If I'm the mayonnaise he's the cream Some sit and wait for the ride While others become the scene And he can see a Wednesday morning Like others see Friday night It's all an open book It's just how you vandalise A double stitch on the shirttail While the rest of us split on the seams He talks about Art Blakey And I pretend to know what he means So now it's three gigs a night While your girl digs up the UAE And burn up like a matchstick The whole damn city can see The sun caught me hiding Just enough for someone to see My heart in my hands, the tracks of my gland
