Former New York Yankees manager Joe Torre always believed he could land another job. Now that he's done in New York, where might Torre end up? Forget about the Pirates and Royals and Cardinals. Would any team unload its current manager for Torre? The Los Angeles Dodgers might. Imagine the Dodgers bringing in a Brooklyn native to end their World Series title drought of 19 seasons. That would strike a blow in the Southern California public relations battle with the Angels. And Torre could hang out with Billy Crystal and other Hollywood types.

come on, he's been there for 12 years, all 12 years in the playoffs. now all the sudden he has to take a pay cut ? yes 5 mill is a lot, but it's a slap. Joe needs insentives to win ? please. If the Yanks didn't want him back, they should've just told him so, not insult him.
-
Donnie baseball will take over will Rivera, Posada & the rod stay now ? money talks the Yanks are now a cheap team now, maybe they will cut the payroll. insert sarcasm here they can't pay Joe 2.5 mill ? they are getting riped in the papers today for showing up Joe.

ARCADE FIRE, WALK WITH ME Wanna see Bruce and the Arcade Fire's Win Butler together again? Just wait for the December issue of Spin, which will feature the pair on the cover. According to Spin.com, "Springsteen and Butler hooked up last week in New Jersey at a shoot for the December cover, and they sat down for a joint interview with deputy editor Steve Kandell. 'Bruce invited them to play in Jersey, but Win and Regine had to get back to Montreal,' says Kandell. 'They were hoping Ottawa would work out, and it clearly did.'" -

10/14, OTTAWA: PLEASE DON'T STOP ME! Four more tour premieres tonight, including "Tougher Than the Rest" (an audible, in the "Heartbreak"/"Brilliant" slot on the setlist) and "Backstreets." But when the spot-on debut of "Backstreets" isn't the big story of the night, you know something unusual happened. Yep, in the six-song encore, Bruce and the E Streeters were joined by members of Arcade Fire, husband-and-wife band co-founders Win Butler and R -
