That Portastatic album...

Well, the ringing has gone from my ears but only because I saved them from the headliners rubbish three songs in... more of that later. I have returned from this years NME winter tour, this time imaginatively titled the "Rock N Roll Riot" and crammed full of bands that are, apparently, a bit animated on stage. The bill for tonight

I'm a big fan and saw them play earlier last year which completely blew me away - such a fantastic show, two drum kits, switching instruments and such an elegant noise. However... not so impressed with the new album. There's a rough leak of it out there and it's not as good as Madonna or Source Tags... EDIT: They've got Smile Again on their Myspace site... once of my fav songs...

The version I've got through on promo comes with a bonus EP... neato!

Morning ladies and gentlemen...

Finally got round to watching this last night: Really enjoyed it... nice film noir feel to it and once I'd suspended my disbelief that these were school kids in the story I was fine. Some nice acting, good story line and that Lost Translation element at the end - what did she whisper to him??

Can't get enough of this...
