dr_gingivitis
I've seen the chords for it starting on D, capoed at the 3rd fret. I just can't work out some of the little lines Jeff plays in this key, anyone know if that's really right? Thanks

Darkhorse
check out alt country tabs and they have all the runs, pretty good too
Pecan_Pie
One of the odd things Jeff does is when he's playing the D chord is he hammers on to the G string on the first beat during the intro, first verse line, etc.

telekipper
Yes, he does often capo the 3nd, however I have a few recordings where he capos the 2nd, which i prefer much more.

jhc
i can never seen to make the 3rd fill sound right I've never found a tab that seemed 100% correct. It's been a long time since I've attempted this song, but I found liked simply using the chord positions and adding hammer ons/pull offs - that got me close enough for rock and roll, and worked much better for solo playing than playing single note lines without chords behind them. I agree, also because I am working more with Jeff's solo stuff, which no show is ever exactly the same. The fill between verses can be played incredibly close by just keeping your D position and experimenting with hammer-ons and pull offs, mostly on the second and fourth fret (relative to capo). Try little things like hammering onto the A string during the G, things like that.
