rkrkrk
its probably played with a different turning but this sounds alright in the meantime
Kalle
I'm pretty sure it's in standard from the two times I've seen this played.
Kalle
Here's the riff towards the end of the song that Jeff and Pat play. e ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------b --------------------------------------------------------------------------8-----8-10/12-10--g 9-7--------9-7-----------9-7-----------7---------9-7------------7-9------9-----------------d -----10---------10-9----------10-9-10----------------10-9-10------------------------------a ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------e ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Gobias Industries
the chord progressions, i sometimes took the general harmony into account, which explains many of the seemingly random sus4s, 6s, and maj7s floating around.: intro: Am-Cmaj7verse: Amsus4-Am-Cmaj7-Cmaj6-G-Em-Amchorus: C-Am-C-Am-G-Em-Am-C-Am-Cmaj7 postlude: G-Em-Am-Am there's a lot of stuff in between that i'm not willing to notate out at the moment. lost highway
yeah me too, check out the 9:30 webcast version. Its starting to get that tight interlocking feel between musicians, very intimate a la AGIB.
mastershake
so.... has anyone figured out any more of this song? particularly nels solo
Gobias Industries
Nels changes the solo a lot. I think it's pretty much useless to tab out his solos, partially because they change, but also because tabbing out all those notes would frankly be a pain in the ass. Gobias Industries
standard EADGBE: Amsus4: 03220- Cmaj6: 01 (0 works here too)223- But, this is what is more like the recording: - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - 12 10 2 0 9 5 10 12 12 3 3 10 9 7 12 - - - - - - - One for each chord, the 9 is a stepping stone to the next chord. H to the ickle
Excellent job fellas, now someone needs to put it all into a single post. I especially like the chord progression (a la the solo performance at the Vic).
TCP
Amsus4:there's no such thing as an Amsus4. A chord can be either diminished, minor, major, augmented, or suspended. It can't be minor and have a suspended fourth, that makes no sense!! Sorry, I'm kind of anal about these things.
Kalle
Yeah that chord is just Asus4.

You can however have an Amadd4.But nevertheless, there was no flatted third in the chord mentioned.

Kalle
Ok well I'm trying to figure out this whole song and I got Nels' line in the intro of the song that goes along with Pat and Jeff's parts I posted earlier. He plays this line quite a bit throughout the song and I added the first little fill he does during the first verse. Keep plugging away! e --0------0-------0---0-------0---------------------------3----b 8--8-10--10/12---7--7-8-5------------------------3/5-------g -----------------------------------------------------------------d -----------------------------------------------------------------a -----------------------------------------------------------------e -----------------------------------------------------------------
Gobias Industries
it turns out my chord prog is incredibly half-wrong...when i have time i will figure it out.
