deepseacatfish
Sounds expensive. I enjoy Sufjan, and Illinoise was a solid record, but I'm definitely no superfan...so I think I'll pass on this.
Duck-Billed Catechist
I imagine that since 3/5 of the discs have been swapped about for a while, they're including all the extras to entice people to buy the physical product.
Wendy
Yep - I'm enticed. I know I'll be buying it ... ... because these two are getting lonely for some new companions

Yeah, I'm one of those people. I know I don't need it and I'll tell myself that I won't buy it. But I'll walk in the store and see it and look at all of the extras and I'll buy it. LouieB
I did not know that.....I really like the Beach Boys Christmas album (s), so for a bit I thought that's what we were talking about. (Little Saint Nick and the Man with all the Toys are two of the best contemporary Xmas songs ever.....even though I am Jewish.... ) LouieB
Wendy
what's wrong with that? it's like the best Christmas album ever. No, Kris ... I wasn't dis'ing your Christmas music choice. I used that slanty-face smiley to indicate my sadness over the fact that I don't own that Christmas album, and that's all. I suppose in hindsight I should have used a few descriptive words so that it would not be confused with slanty-face smiley's multitudinous other meanings. Hey - I trust your judgement, dude. After all, you like King Crimson so you're OK in my book.

Beltmann
Sufjan gets the biggest boner when he thinks of himself. For me, a little Sufjan goes a long way. It is unlikely that I am going to buy this.
Duck-Billed Catechist
So Amazon is selling it for $19.99 after all. That's a pretty good deal.
Reni
1. I love the John Denver and the Muppets Christmas LP - I have it on vinyl from my childhood and have it on CD (though the CD sucks because it doesn't have the Dr Teeth cover of Little St. Nick on it) 2. I am a pretty lukewarm Sufjan fan - but I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Christmas discs......I actually listen to them pretty frequently, and always get a smile when one of the tunes pops up in my iPod. I can't wait to get this. 3. As I was just reading the description of the album, it mentioned he plays the songs from the Reader's Digest Christmas Songbook - which is a coincidence as I just ordered that from a sheet music company this morning for some festive violin playing this holiday season.......
