Nonlinear Nonfiction
I've heard that there were three of these charity shows played. I've heard a recording from Edie's living room and one from Hotel S N S. Can anyone shed some light on those two shows and tell me where/when the other show(s) were? What is Hotel S N S? Preferred B
Hotel SnS belongs to occasional VC poster Sooz, and is the home of Sooz and Sam(orama) ... as well as their pets. It has earned its name over the years because of their generosity in sharing the place with visiting friends. In 2005, Jeff played the first Letters to Santa charity show at Hotel SnS. It was not recorded. I think there may have been another show or two that year, but Hotel SnS was the only one with a VC presence. In 2006, there were indeed three Letters to Santa charity shows. Here is the thread about the one at Edie's house: http://archive.viachicago.org/index.php?showtopic=19554 Here is the thread about the second show, which included many members of the Old Town School of Folk Music's Wilco Ensemble: http://archive.viachicago.org/index.php?showtopic=19854 And here is the thread about the third show, at Hotel SnS: http://archive.viachicago.org/index.php?showtopic=21665 Recordings of the first and third shows are available for download. Hodie
I keep meaning to hunt down the archived thread for the first private show to add to this thread. It's the unrecorded one, so this is all we've got to remember it by: http://archive.viachicago.org/index.php?sh...17&hl=santa Sigh, it was dreamy. Seriously drunken, but also definitely dreamy. (p.s. a few of the pics are red-Xd hotlinks, but most are still there)
