mountain bed
Those were never sold out, were they? I think CSNY is credited with pioneering the stadium tour with their 1974 tour - ?I do believe you are correct sir regarding CSNY. In regards to the Stones/Dead debate...The Stones (I'm not gonna look this up) toured in '72, '75, '78, '81,'89, '94...6 major tours in over 20 years. The Dead toured every year in that time (except '75) and averaged 75-100 shows per year. My guess is it would be REAL close, but the Dead might just get the nod. solace
^^ cheaper for the upper tier ticket than i expected. i expected $250-300 honestly, to be in tune w/ CSNY, McCartney, etc. not that i'd pay it.

Otherwise, no way.
solace
i'll pay the $50, unless it's a totally shit seat, then i'll see about the next level, but after that, i'll do day of show if nothing good comes in either of those levels

Hasn't Bob Dylan been on what he calls an endless tour (or some such name) since the '70s. I'll bet he's done more shows than the Stones or the Dead. Granted, he tends to play smaller shows than either of them did, but the numbers could add up.

If 50% of the seats are $225, then day of is the only way I'd likely go (since I think the last time I saw them it was $12 or something)
