Bradrock
Good times! Jeff was in rare form and seemed to be enjoying the experience, even though at the end it was getting a little monotonous with the requests. However, he seemed to take it in stride. Love the Jeff Leppard story and the lot shirt....."Pour some Tweedy on me" I always love going to shows at Bijou. The sound is so crisp. Probably my favorite theatre with the Tabernacle right behind it. I tried to remember the setlist, but with all the banter it was kind of hard to keep up. In no particular order and leaving out a few Be Patient with MeMtn BedSpidersRadio KingITMWLYCars Can't EscapeHow to Fight LonelinessA Shot in the ArmPieholdenIATTBYHHeavy Metal DrummerTheologinsJesusImmigrant Song TeaserHesitating BeautyNew MadridSomeone Else's Song (no PA)A Rose (no PA) In closing, I had "that" guy behind me.....that guy who sings along to every song, even when Jeff doesn't request it. It was fine until the no PA tunes and finally a girl said "Seriously dude". All in all, it was a great night. My first Tweedy solo show after many years seeing UT and Wilco. almost positive he played 'chinese apple' and another one i didnt recognize (maybe new?) anyone? Jeremy
Great show. I was very pleased with the audience. After hearing Mountain Bed and Spiders I was happy. Someone Else's Song and Acuff Rose sounded great unplugged. How long did you guys have to stand by Jeff's bus after the show to meet him?
thedank
SarahC - My wife and I sat next to you. Neither of us was annoyed. Glad you got to meet him and had a good time. We certainly did. She said you mentioned wanting to be a music teacher of some sort and how that seemed to fit you. Said you were real nice.
MKHstudios
yeah i hope the tape surfaces. some really hilarious one liners last night... All recordings eventually surface. I know the taper. He mentioned uploading it to Etree, but would rather wait for the VC tracker to be fixed and upload it here.

bird jam
He also played (only) the harmonica part from She's a Jar. Earlier in the show the drunk girl from Michigan had screamed "She's a Jar!" and Tweedy said, mockingly, "Yeah! Play the one about domestic violence! Wooo!!!"

He mentioned uploading it to Etree, but would rather wait for the VC tracker to be fixed and upload it here. I talked to the guy right before the show started, he said he'll get it up here or etree eventually but that he was still processing some old shows in his queue, so it might be a while. Way better than either Mem or Nash. Great show. Pieholden, Cars cant escape, and Immigrant Song were the highlights

DawgSong
Great show. I like the Bijou, my first time there.I caught Atlanta and Knoxville so I'm dragging a little today. Two unique experiences in their own right. So you guys keep talking about the gal from Mich......wellhow about the gal who yelled, "You are in Knoxvvviiiiiiillllllllllleeeeeeeeee,Tenerssssssssseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee." Jeff stated, "Please tell me thatwasn't a real accent." LOL. From row 5 floor I couldn't see her in the balconybut I thought she was the gal I heard screaming out all night (play She's a Jar). She would have been in the balcony left, or stage right. So these the same gals, 2 different? Whats up with caps off sold cokes and water but beers sold with the pop topstill on. "Reminds me oof my Dad.......Y'all drinking beers out there."LOL, someone even offered Jeff a beer and he replied something like,"I guess you haven't read the many rehab stories. " Handled it well. All in all a great 2 nights, and awaiting some Wilco dates. Australia anyone?
Maddie Hope
You forgot 'Wishful Thinking' I still can't get over the fact he actually played it! I think I will be giddy for days. Oh, that and "Pieholden Suite". Thank-you to the people from B-Ham for that one! Wow Sarah... So awesome he played Wishful Thinking...I'm so jealous he didn't play it in B'ham or ATL... Next show I go to I'll do me a sign like yours and see if it helps... What did the folks in B'ham have to do with Pieholden Suite? Just wondering...
DawgSong
>What did the folks in B'ham have to do with Pieholden Suite? Young gal, coed perhaps on about 6-7 row DEAD center requested it (mightI add in a sweet voice)...said she came all the way from B-ham to hear it played. Jeff commented on why she came all the way from B-ham since they just played there Sat nite. She said she went to the show there as well but he didn't play it there so shehit the road to Knoxville. He granted her wish. Cute gal, cute moment.

All in all a great 2 nights, and awaiting some Wilco dates. Australia anyone? More like...."You are in Knocksveal, Tennasay". Yes, she was yelling all night, and I might add that she was sitting in my row along with her crew. I overheard her say it was her first Jeff solo/Wilco show. I believe they around the ripe age of 21 or 22. Must have not completely cut and pasted my setlist from Word, because I have Wait up and Ruling Class listed. However, I did totally forget the Wishful Thinking, Chinese Apple and Airline though. Anyone listening to the webcast?
wskitche
Anyone know what the meager third verse of Pieholden he played last night comes from, was this impromtu or part of the song? Last verse was something like ... "i apologize, i apologize..."
