lost highway
your opinion, is the truth? Ooh that makes for a great Freudian slip in my endless maze of clauses and commas. No I meant its not cause I adore Tweedy more then Soul Asylum or the Jayhawks, but just cause those particular songs really sound like better songs to me. Only your opinion is the truth, I just try. smog>golden smog. Also truth. Ask Callahan or Plato, higher form of the good for sure.

mrman
i think he meant that Henley was trying to, you know, with Smog. which is why he's gone incognito as Bill Callahan...oops.
fletcher
Personally, the only reason I ever bought the Golden Smog stuff was for Gary's songs. As I recall, the last album seems to be more of Dan Murphy/Kraig Johnson deal. Weird Tales, for me, is the best one. I do not care for power pop type songs - I hope the Gary and Mark album does not sound like that. The only Jeff songs I really care for are Radio King, I Can't Keep From Talking, and Long Time Ago. No "Pecan Pie"???!
Analogman
No I hate stuff with nuts in it - that goes for songs too.
