Bonnaroo 2007 Lineup

Recommended Posts

That is a damn exciting lineup.

you think so?

i guess it's just that the only band in that lineup that i have never seen that would really want to, is The Police.

rest are bands that i've seen (most multiple times), and will likely see over the next year.

it's about 1/8th as great as that early leaked/rumored lineup, which is even less of the bands from that list that i expected.

Well, South Florida sucks for live music so I've only seen 3 of those bands, and some of my favorite bands are on there, so the family is seriously considering doing this.

so far this lineup really isn't all that impressive honestly

but there's still at least 2 rounds of announcements to go

Yeah, my first reaction was: :yawn

I suppose the later rounds of announcements could spark some interest, but as it stands I'm not all that impressed.

Plus, there's that whole I-hate-festivals thing... ;)

yeah, that doesn't help, but i can admit when a lineup is just ridiculous, and that usually means *I* even consider going, that's when you know it's an amazing festival lineup ;)

Anyone know how DJ Shadow is live? I'd be excited to see him.

It's pretty amazing to hear how he combines and recombines some of those sounds in a live venue (he often turns "Organ Donor" on its head), but I have no idea how he'll go over at Bonnaroo, especially with the hyphy stuff.

Very few of those bands I wouldn't want to see (or haven't seen, for that matter) but I can't bring myself to deal with the immense crowd.

I'm with you on that Lammy. I kind of hate to say this, but I might be getting 'too old' to deal with 100,000 people in 90+ degree heat. :hmm

Same here. I still enjoy festivals, but the kind where you can bring a lawn chair to sit and still see, can get a bite to eat/beverage/bathroom usage very easily, and one I can bring the kids to. Basically Bluegrass-type fests around here. The one I saw JT at in August (an annual we go to called Rocky Mountain Folk Fest)is a perfect example- even has a river to wade in while you dig the tunes.
