Will Wilco ever make it on the cover of Rolling Stone?

Recommended Posts

if they make it on the cover for this album when they didn't make it on there for either ST or YHF...I will cancel my 10+ year subscription.

they probably ought to give back the grammy then too since that was at least two years late.

wait...you still have a subscription?...

my wife sends in the renewal forms every year w/out asking me...some of them I think were for 3-4 years subscriptions. my grandkids will probably get the magagine off of the same subscription after i'm dead and buried.

it's okay though, it's a good enough read to take a poop to.

I think Wilco will get the cover when and if Jeff is willing to put on a bikini and baby oil. And if the other boys all have tats. Bikinis and tats seem to be the key to an RS cover gig.

And in El Brian Fellow's defense, RS is only like 37 cents an issue when you subscribe. My thought is always, why not? It keeps me in touch with the youth culture.

They won't be on the cover of rolling stone, but I know the band would like it.

They grew up when rolling stone was cool, so no matter what we think about it now, it would be cool for them.

SBS should get at least a 4 star review...and be the lead feature in the review section.

i don't know about the cover - - they seem to go with people with broader mainstream appeal.

do you think SBS will go platinum? i see a couple of songs that could be hits - either way, hate it here,

I actually see SBS getting universally mediocre reviews from critics, and selling only about A.M. numbers, but that's me.

no, it's not just you.

Well then it is just the two of you.

Rollingstone magazine and SNL have both sucked for a while. I think they will definitely get alot of attention for this CD though. Hopefully positive.

I am not in the crowd of people that doesn't want Wilco to have any mainstream success. I wish they got radio play, were on late night shows often, and maybe even guest star on an episode of 7th Heaven. :thumbup

7th Heaven, ooooh, 7th Heaven...

200th post and still haven't contracted any STDs. Maybe the rumors aren't true about this place after all....

And by the way, why do you guys have pictures of magazines with naked guys in them.... ? Hopefully you are females...

At this point my opinion on the record has been well stated.

I don't like it.

But even being objective, I don't see how really smooth serene music made by middle age men will light rolling stone and MTV on fire.

If anything this is one of their least marketable albums. The first 3 appealed to both classic rock and indie sensibilities. YHF and AGIB were indie wet dreams. This? Well, I don't know how man.

I see it selling very low numbers.

I hope they don't because I hate Rolling Stone. All they know how to do is suck up to anyone that is popular within the mainstream.
