OCP003
I got my ticks today, but a couple of my friends missed the pre-sale. They are wondering if good tickets are left, or if all of them are sold in the Wilco pre-sale. Meaning, Are all the pit tickets sold through Wilco or will Ticketmaster get some too? How does this work? Thanks!
gogo
In the past, some people have gotten better tickets in the general sale than were available in a pre-sale, but this is not always the case. In other words... I don't know! I don't think it's the same for every show, so there's probably no way of knowing until the next batch of tickets go on sale.
Wendy
Once the WilcoWorld MusicToday fan presale is over, sometimes radio stations get a shot at a presale before the TicketMaster public internet sale. So your friends could check into that. Gotta do some research and be sure to be on the mailing lists of all the radio stations in your city. In other words, maybe some good seats are held back for other presales. The Wilcoworld MusicToday fan presale offers around 10% of the seats for sale, and they sell out fast. That does NOT mean that they are the 10% best seats surrounding the stage. I have seen presales give out 5th through 10th row, then 15th through 20th row (for example). And there have been presales where the pit seats are sold. No one (who's talking anyway ) knows what exactly is going to happen. What does help fill in the puzzle (a little anyway) is when people come back here and say what seats they did get in the presale. Yes, it's after-the-fact info, but there are going to be a lot more presales and perhaps a pattern will emerge. I don't remember hearing if anyone got pit seats for any of the shows that went on presale today.
OCP003
I got pit seats for ATL. Now i'm just hoping my friends can get pit tickets. I might also be willing to sell my tix face value. I might not be needing them
jff
I don't remember hearing if anyone got pit seats for any of the shows that went on presale today. I got 14th row PIT seats for the Atlanta show 45 minutes after the presale started.

I might be able to help you pinpoint the location of yor seat since I've been to Chastain a bunch of times. Do you know which section/row you're seat is in? If you're on the floor (Pit) hopefully you won't have tall people right in front of you. If you're in the "Orchestra", or anywhere other than PIT seats, you'll be on a hill and won't have any trouble seeing the band.

OCP003
Update: My friends got 13th row pit today via ticketmaster. Weird thing though....it only gave what row they were on, not the seat numbers...General Admission? I hope not.
Wendy
That's one big-ass pit! As for the other cities they are visiting, I hope the band reserved the pit seats for charity auctions or surprise last-minute giveaways that they sometimes do. Both are great ideas. So far I only know of one person on the board who has a front row seat for the atlanta show, maybe the band a resevering them for charity/give aways that would be neat. i'm happy with my seats...assuming my friend jason and my sister will be on either side of me! also, are Ms. Y or bobbob coming to Atlanta? Reagent
I've heard that it might be general admission but the tickets I got Friday were for the "orch pit" and had rows+seats. The orch pit as they call it though is actually the main section w/seats at Chastain... which is quite huge. The view of the stage and sound will be great even from the lawn though, lets all just pray for good weather!

If you can get in the middle section behind the sbd, these are good seats. I've seen many a show from this area. But I'm excited about my 8th row pit seats for this one. Closest I've ever been at Chastain.

Not bad, considering they didn't sell out the 4400 seat Fox Theatre until a couple of days before the show on their last trip through.
SarahC
i really hope it's not GA! i have the worst luck with GA these days, but the company I'll have with me at the show will make it amazing regardless of the veiw i think

welch79
forgot to post what i got yesterday via ticketmaster... B-3L, row E, seats 9-11 they're in the box section, last row. somebody tell me if these are any good? on the chart, they appear fairly close...
jff
This concert is NOT general admission. The lawn is GA, but the lawn is very small (comparable to a typical suburban backyard), and unless the show is sold out, the lawn will probably be virtually empty. forgot to post what i got yesterday via ticketmaster... B-3L, row E, seats 9-11 they're in the box section, last row. somebody tell me if these are any good? on the chart, they appear fairly close... yes, those are good seats.
