It looks like they are hanging it up for a second time:

Cary Hudson Music

From Laurie/Blue Mountain

Dear fans and friends,

After careful consideration Cary and I have decided to part ways and pursue other projects. Blue Mountain has meant the world to both of us but it's time for a change. Cary and I will always be friends and we mutually want whats best for each other. It's been a wonderful experience and we are both grateful for the memories we have. We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to each and every one of you for your support over the years. Nothing was ever possible without y'all.

We will be playing out the remainder of our shows scheduled (listed below) and hope you guys can make it out for one last hurrah. Our final show will be at Double Decker Festival in our beloved Oxford, MS, which will be a blast.

Thanks also to our families for their never ending support.
Onward!
xxoo

Again....that is too bad. i was just looking them up online the other day. i missed the last Cary solo record and was checking to see if BM were playing shows. One of the best bands from the mid 90s Alt-Country, Insurgent Country scene.

I agree.

I got his last album - directly from him in the mail. That was pretty cool.

It really is a shame. I only got to see them once, and that was in the late '90s or maybe 2000. I was just getting familiar with their songs, so I didn't know all the words.

I wanted to see them again but never had the chance. Traveling to MS for a show is a little out of my reach at this point.

And they just came up on my iTunes as I type this. Whoa...weird.
