nickyboy
Hi I purchased the Sky Blue Sky "Special Deluxe Edition" (with the CD and DVD) in the UK today - but can't seem to find any enhanced content on the CD. Is anyone else having this problem or am I doing something wrong? If it is missing from the CD, I
cryptique
The special deluxe edition refers to the fact that there's a DVD. So, you're not missing anything.
Analogman
There should be a enhanced cd logo near the barcode on the back left side bottom corner.

There appears to be a .MOV file on the CD. I haven't had any luck accessing it from my work PC ... I'll try again when I get home.
gogo
http://wilcoworld.net/roadcase/index.php I think the only enhanced content that comes with the CD is that it lets you get the webcast on the 20th (then everyone gets the one on the 21st).
nickyboy
There should be a enhanced cd logo near the barcode on the back left side bottom corner. Yeah. No Enhanced logo and no MOV file that I can find (I've tried 3 different PCs). I think the UK pressing might be without Enhanced content - has anyone in the UK been able to access the MOV file or have an Enhanced logo near the barcode?
Analogman
This logo is on the slipcase - do you have that?
creativetype
Here's the read_me info from the bonus CD ... You've accessed the bonus content for SKY BLUE SKY by WILCO. This is your key to access additional bonus material available only to owners of SKY BLUE SKY. By launching the QuickTime movie on this CD, you will be able to access regularly updated content including live webcasts, archives, downloads and a variety of bonus content. Instructions: 1. Double-click the file called 'extras.mov'.2. Follow the instructions on screen. BTW, I'm on a Mac ... when I insert the "enhanced" music CD, the bonus folder pops up. It also shows up as a separate disk icon on the desktop. (When I clicked on the extras.mov, it said I needed to enable Flash in my Quicktime preferences to access the bonus material -- so try that as well.)
nickyboy
This logo is on the slipcase - do you have that? Yup. Slip case lists the DVD and CD tracks. Has a barcode in the bottom left. A DVD logo, the Nonesuch logo, Produced by Wilco credit, and the wilcoworld and nonesuch web addresses. No Enhanced logo. It'd be very disappointing if the Enhanced content gets you access to a webcast in London, but people in the UK can't access it!
Analogman
Weird - it must be a USA only deal.
CommerceComet
It'd be very disappointing if the Enhanced content gets you access to a webcast in London, but people in the UK can't access it! Why do you need the webcast? You can just go to the show. :-) it's kind of like a ballgame being blacked out I guess?
So Long
So apparently when you the enhanced CD, The Shepard's Bush show will be available...
noyes
so us in the US get to listen to the first London show. great.they better play some old song they never play anymore to mark the special occasion.

HighFives
will this work w/ the cd that came with the vinyl?
elston gunn
i'm in Spain and my copy (of the CD+DVD pack) has the "enhanced CD" logo, so it doesn't seem to be an "USA only" feature.
MadMonkey
Has anyone had any difficulty with the enhanced content on the CD with the deluxe edition? I read the other thread on this topic and tried to find the .mov file but it is not showing up, only the audio files, has anyone else had this problem? I bought it at Plan 9 in Charlottesville, VA. The CD/DVD combo. Thanks for any help.

My apologies if I'm upsetting anyone, but I'm pretty computer savvy and it's not there, I explored the disc, the folder was set to show ALL files, and I tried opening it with quicktime, none of which have been successful, if anyone is having or had a similar issue and resolved it, I would be grateful to know what I'm doing wrong, thanks. gogo
In the past, Wilco HQ has offered tech support if you e-mail them at support@wilcoworld.net. If you're sure you have the enhanced CD and aren't seeing anything, maybe they can at least give you an idea of why it isn't working as it should (and if you get any info, please come back and let the rest of us know ). Not to question your computer savvy-ness again, but is it possible that your PC shows the enhanced CD as two separate discs or folders (like my Mac) ... when I was looking for the extras.mov after closing the window that popped up, I couldn't find it again until I saw the other icon hiding on my cluttered desktop. The webmaster at wilcoworld.net might also be able to e-mail you the extras.mov file if you presented proof of purchase.
nickyboy
Has anyone had any difficulty with the enhanced content on the CD with the deluxe edition? The CD/DVD combo. Thanks for any help. Hey so this is exactly the problem I initially posted about. I have the UK edition of the CD/DVD combo and there is no enhanced content on the disc. I've tried using 3 different computers but only the audio files are showing up. I thought it might be something to do with the UK pressing of the CD, but if you have a US copy maybe it's to do with the CD/DVD combo? Although it would be extremely odd that they have a different CD pressing for the Deluxe edition. I presume your CD was pressed in the US? Does it have the Enhanced CD logo on the slipcase near the barcode? In the meantime, can anyone confirm they have been able to access the Enhanced content on: 1) A UK pressing of Sky Blue Sky? 2) The CD from the deluxe CD/DVD combo? nickyboy
On my U.S. version of the CD/DVD combo, there's a QuickTime .MOV file. Thanks Cryptique. So MadMonkey - is there a chance they sold you a non-US (UK?) pressing of the Deluxe edition? Still keen to hear if anyone in the UK is able to confirm Enhanced content on any UK CD? I nipped down to Virgin Megastore at lunchtime, and couldn't see the Enhanced CD logo on any of the CDs or CD/DVD combos they have in stock.
gogo
This doesn't help anyone with any of the questions asked in this thread, but I thought it was interesting that the CD that comes with the LP has the enhanced logo, on both the CD and the slipcase (I haven't tried it yet, but I'm assuming it's there ). So those of us who bought the vinyl get it, too.
