Goodness gracious...

is that common ground?

OK, I can agree that she's in great shape . . . but who is she?

if the common ground is just someone who happens to be really hot, well, she doesn't do it for me.

I think we all need to take a step back and find some common ground:

You're not looking at her the right way. You just need to let her grow on you a bit, and then you'll get her.

What? I mean, really. What? Are you even speaking english? I don't understand that last bit.

For the record, she's an 18 year old high school senior who is like the top pole (snicker) vaulter in the country. She's going to UC-Berkley next year.

OK, OK, she's in great shape and very beautiful.

But she's not my type.

I like men. ;)

How about this: my preferred lineup of all time didn't have a Jay or a Nels in it. I saw them 3 times in 2002.

See, there was this guy named Leroy Bach who would play rhythm while Jeff played lead, and ... aah, forget it.

Also, I can see why some people don't dig Shake it Off. I think maybe you have to see this one live to fully appreciate it. From a musical standpoint, it's a really hard song to play! The timing is very odd, you've got to feel it more than count it. But when it rocks live, it really rocks.

A lot of Shake it Off, I'm iffy about, but I *love* the pre-chorus, the part after "sometimes there's a war, sometimes there's art". Great chords, great melody.
