True- J. has a distinctive style and fairly simple formula, so it's not like he needs to re-assemble a huge collective of former bandmates to get "his" sound. I suppose I'm just so used to reconstituted rock bands sucking, that having one still rock after a long hiatus seems unusual.

Mission of Burma is another example of righteous bands coming back strong...

I saw Dinosaur Jr. in 1989, and then again last week, and I have to say from my memory that they are TONS better now. I did manage to record the show, and its up for direct http download on my site now too:

i never got to see them back in the day so it in interesting hearing that perspective.

 

for ther person above who said they can't find it anywhere i'm pretty sure itunes has it. I think i actually got mine at best buy.
