sethyo25
Not sure if this has been posted before or if anyone has noticed it yet but....as I was listening to Sky Blue Sky for about the 30ish time last night via my headphones I caught the line "turned to rust as we've discussed" in You Are My Face & "turns to dust like we've discussed" in Please Be Patient W/ Me. It appears that Jeff has alot of dust & rust on his mind to discuss with us... Not that it's a bad thing at all, if fact I find it to be a cool set of words. Discuss... -seth

TheMaker
Seriously, that's pretty interesting. I've sung along to those songs billions of times (literally billions of times, yes) and I hadn't noticed the similarities between those lines. I'm curious to know if it was a coincidence or if maybe Jeff snuck 'em in there intentionally.

spongebob
to me the album has a connective musical effect. so to have a phrase repeated makes since to me as repitition makes one more comfortable in ones enviroment(me anyways). in my opinion there is an overall effect of sky blue sky and repitition, musical tone, and comfort are a definate part.spongebob
