WilcoIsLove
Hi! I am new here and I have been a Wilco fan for about 2 Years or more.. The first Album I heard was a Ghost is Born. I absolutely Loved it.. But I didnt even know the name of the band.So Sometime Later I find out it was Wilco and I just fell in Love with that Album.. and then Sky Blue Sky came out. And I fell in Love AGAIN. And during that time I was going through relationship problems and Sky Blue Sky really just..it was like Medicine. I really Love that Album.. Its Beautiful..Wilco is just a REALLY Amazing band..They always switch up their style and I Love Tweedy's voice and Lyrics and the Guitarists.. and I Plan to see them Live soon! And recently I got my hands on Summerteeth! It was kind of hard to get into since it was very different haha from their two previous albums but once again I am in Love! I Love Wilco.. I find it odd how I dont know ANYONE who knows about them besides my brother. If only they knew what they were missing..oh well! So I am really into Summerteeth right now! And I picked up Being There recently and its not really sticking with me as much as the other albums do.. I mean its good but its not Grabbing me if You know what I mean.. Sunken treasure is AMAZING and so is Say You Miss me.. I guess I need to listen to it more! And currently I am listening to Yankee Hotel Foxtrot.. its different! But I am liking it so far.. So yeah! I Just had to get that all out haha Favorite Wilco Album?!?! Hmm I have thought about it.. its just too hard.. Favorite songsss..hm thats hard too! But Yeah!If You took the time to read this thank You!

sweetheart-mine
hi there, i'm very recent to the board too and am still learning a lot more than posting. do you have the 2006 dvd of jeff's solo tour "sunken treasure: live in the pacific northwest"? (and cd, because after buying you can download the entire song audio via computer as part of the package.) it is fantastic and what really got me acquainted with many wilco songs. the problem is, i think jeff's voice is so strong and wonderful on it that the original wilco versions kind of pale for me. nels and glenn shine toward the end of the last set on the dvd too, when jeff brought them on. i absolutely love almost every song on that dvd, and ELT is probably my very favorite from summerteeth too. i haven't read too many people with that opinion, but it's a great song and jeff's solo rendition is out of this world. being older than the average fan here, my ever learning about wilco was highly unlikely. the only reason it happened is that a few months ago the ovation channel was showing "man in the sand," the documentary about billy bragg and wilco putting leftover woody guthrie lyrics to music (which led to the "mermaid avenue" cds). i was only surfing, and tuned in in the middle just as they were starting "when the roses bloom again." it wasn't even their final version, and the lyrics turned out not to be guthrie's, but it knocked my sox off. i was mesmerized by jeff's voice and their overall sound. (the "sweetheart-mine" name i gave myself here is in homage to that song which led me to jeff and wilco.) i went hunting for that song and it wasn't easy to find, but once i found it my jeff tweedy / wilco journey took off. i must thank owl here at v.c., whose site gave me access to a ton of songs and performances i might never have heard otherwise. i'm still exploring past albums, still loving jeff's "sunken treasure" dvd/cd best, and enjoying falling in love with "sky blue sky," which at first made me think "hmmm, not sure," and now has grabbed me. it's beautiful. i have to listen to them every single day -- in the car, at home, in my studio -- because otherwise i get this deprived attitude. like . . . an addict. this threatens to go on for a very long time and my husband is trying not to get annoyed! it's hard to get my attention these days when i've got the headphones on and am lost in wilco world. keep having a great time. stevietheb
Anyone know how I can get my hands on the "More Like the Moon" EP? I can go to this site: http://www.wilcoweb.com/ep/fromcd.htmland stream it. But when I attempt to download it by using the YHF code, it doesn't work. I also found this page:http://www.wilcoworld.net/ep/helper.html BUT those links don't seem to work either.
