jimmyjimmy Posted September 28, 2007 Share Posted September 28, 2007 We had a big guy like that a few months back who while crossing highway traffic was tagged by a car and broke a leg.He shimmied about twenty feet up a tree that was in the median, perched himself on a fairly small branch overhanging the highway and reclined with his back against the trunk of the tree as if he were sitting in a Lazy-Boy. His position in the tree put him at eye level to onlookers standing on a raised bank just to the side of the road. It's certain he was stressed. The chaos below, people, cars etc. but he looked resigned and content to be there waiting to see what would unfold. Rescuers of various agencies were able to tranquilize him; (luckily without him tumbling out of the tree) and lower him to the ground where he was taken away for treatment and later released.
