Lammycat
not bitter about it, just like to see teams getting dues when deserved. rockies are getting their dues but overshadowed by Joe Torre, Josh Beckett, Manny Ramirez....I'm not intentionally trying to play Devil's Advocate here (really) but I don't see this, either. How much should espn/sports media be talking about the team that has 8 days off before they play again? It's not headline sports news while there's still another series going on and the most expensively payrolled team is going through a managerial change. This stuff rightly takes the headlines over a team dormant for a week, no?
Guest Jules
The Rockies in the middle of the pack in the NL Central isn't news, sorry.Actually, that would be news, given that they are in the NL West.
caliber66
Actually, that would be news, given that they are in the NL West.I'm not sure I could have done a better job of indicating how little I care about the NL these days. Â Sorry, Rockies fans. Should have known that one. Â Emoticon.
Mystik Spiral
Poor Broncos, they asked NFL to move the Monday night game against the Packers so it wouldnt interfere with the Rockies home WS game, NFL said too bad and now Colorado fans have to choose who to support. I say Screw the Broncos and see the Rocks. Packers will pick clean the broncos anyway. Rockies have a chance. Pffft. I'm not much of a football fan, but I do watch the Broncos... maybe they'd have people watch them if they didn't suck so bad this year. They're lucky to be 2-3, they could just as easily be 0-5. I imagine anyone who does tune in to them for MNF will switch over to the Rockies after the Pack takes a 28-0 lead.
PigSooie
Beckett is a good baseball pitcher.

It was cute for about 5 minutes two years ago. It's old now. Let the baby sleep.
jenbobblehead
i saw a Papelbon/LightsOut bumper sticker today. i thought it was appropriate--Paps comes in, game over, lights out. But yes, i'm done hearing it, in general.
Lammycat
I'll never be done with watching that freak Flatley-dance after clinching the ALCS. The look of determination, even during times of celebration, is both weird and amazing to me. Â http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rxvv6zTk5Js

Lammycat
I watched the game last night with a buddy in a full-fledged Sox bar (Sox memorabilia/banners all over the joint inside and out). All the regulars and bartenders had "bloody" right ankles in support of Schilling. It was funny watching guys roll in at the start of the game and hiking up their pant legs to show 'em off. Lammycat
lysistrata: did you notice that Schilling started his own game thread over at the other place for yesterday's game? He's "on" so he did the same for tonight's game.

I wish Paps and some of the other nutters would join that place.
