caliber66
i must be dumb (or have a shitty browser), but i can't find the list.Should be front & center when you click the link.
Clouds of Fluff
You have to search for it in the doohickey at top and it'll tell you where your last name ranks (or if it ranks at all in the top 5000). Mine's in the top 170, hubby's last name is in the top 150. Painfully common last names here.

bjorn_skurj
Outside of my family, I have never met ANYONE with my last name. That's why I think you have a branch of your family out in this valley. And I have no idea who is making more Bartons. Certainly not me!

ction
Has anyone confirmed if Snodgrass is in the top 5000?
M. (hristine
I will try to get a picture of her. I can see a certain resemblance. That would be very interesting to me. I have told the story here before...my grandfather was the orphaned son of an eastern European circus high wire act. My aunt still has the McGuffey reader where he was working out the spelling of his last name.

hollow
My last name doesn't make the top 1000 -- but there are only about 800 people in the country with my last name, some of whom are actually famous Meanwhile, my maiden name, which is now my middle name, is in the top 50. Lammycat
1283. Down 142 since 1990. We're a dying breed, apparently.
hollow
I'm going to chalk it up to being off from work today (thus my computer savvy is also on holiday) as to why I missed the .csv file and only saw the .pdf file with the top 1000 names. My married name is on it, it barely makes the top 20,000, but it's there.
caliber66
My maiden name ranked in at 638. My parents are friends with Kermit 638.
Beltmann
My last name is not in the top 5000 (no surprise). But my wife's maiden name is 2072.
kidsmoke
My parents are friends with Kermit 638. #638 = Thefrog?
hollow
Oh, for anyone having problems with the link, my newest version of Firefox kept blocking it as a pop-up. Just copy the link and paste into a new window or tab. I'm a fan of Firefox, but this was the first time it's blocked something that it shouldn't, and meanwhile all week I keep getting ad pop-ups for screensavers! What is wrong with my browser, the latest upgrade was a step backwards!
mountain bed
#638 = Thefrog? I'm confused.
caliber66
My parents are friends with Kermit 638. #638 = Thefrog? If last name #638 is Thefrog, Kermit 638 would be Kermit Thefrog. You know what #638 is, however.
