Wilco Worshipper
I have five of the guys's CD's on shuffle right now, which I do every once in a while and I still can't get over the emotions and memories each song brings up. And I swear it starts from the very 1st or 2nd note. It's incredible what Jeff and crew have done for me and brought into my life. Certain notes, particular lyrics, Jeff's voice...*big sigh* It's something I will ALWAYS cherish...ALWAYS
pillowy star
Same here. No matter how long the breaks are that I take from listening to Wilco (yes it happens), no matter how often I might already have listened to "Via Chicago" - it still has me ending up in floods of tears every time I listen to it because this song is so me. I wouldn't be sane anymore if it wasn't for the lyrics, the music, the voice.
Wilco Worshipper
[45.] Can music affect your mood? Most DEFINITELY!!! This is a question with my response from a survey I filled out, recently. I was really thinking about Wilco/JT with this, tho there are lots of great artists that have left something with me with some of their more beautiful work. I even found myself crying at Denny's last Friday night at our usual midnight gathering because of a tune I was hearing. As hard as I tried, I couldn't not cry...it sucked, but I got through it
SarahC
I know exactly what you mean. I still get flash backs to where I was the first time I heard Wilco every single time I hear "The Lonely 1"

I'm right there with you, I have been listening non-stop to the Detroit concert from this past year and I always find myself getting choked up during Via Chicago right at "That says I haven't gone too faaaaaaaaar". I love that part.
froggie
> getting choked up during Via Chicago right at "That says I haven't gone too faaaaaaaaar". I love that part. when they played it down here in april, i lip-synched that bit with mouth wide open cause jeff was looking in our direction, it was a surprise to hear the opening chords of the song to open the show, instead of You are my face

bjorn_skurj
"Jesus, etc." When he gets to the "tall buildings shake, voices escape" part. For me, that might be Wilco's best moment, though there are many which come close.
darkstar
I'm kind of a sucker for that line in either way "Maybe you still love me, maybe you don't. Either you will or you won't" Gets me every time.

jc4prez
Less Than You Think is one to give me the chills; especially in a live setting. One of my favorite live Wilco moments was when they opened the New Years 04 with this one. Spotlight on Jeff, the band slowly comes in, pretty powerful build up. The moment that really grabs me each time is when John comes in on "And your spine starts to shine and you shiver at your soul, a fist so clear a climbing punches a hole in the sky so you can see". What an a great tune. :thumbup
