deepseacatfish
Roots and CrownsThis is also a good album, but I think Quicksand/Cradlesnakes holds together as an album a little better on its own. But yeah, you can't really go wrong with either of these. Califone is great.
OOO
Yes, either of those two.
KevinG
Quicksands/Cradlesnakes is one of my favorite albums of all time. You cannot go wrong with that one.

WaronWar
I started with "Roots and Crowns." And now have "Quicksand/Cradlesnakes" and "Heron King Blues." Moreover, I still need more of theirs and of Red Red Meat. But yeah, they are really a great band and can't wait to see them again at Thrill Jockey show this weekend. LouieB
Quicksand/CradlesnakesFor sure...,, It is the best and most accessable. After that Roomsounds (is that right??) is excellent as well. EVerything else is good too, but less accessable and sometimes less successful. LouieB
