ZenLunatic
The whole "OMG TEH REPUBLICANZ ARE THE WORSTEST!!" crap. We get it. But guess what, people are allowed to have opinions and shouldn't have to deal with an underinformed moron shouting at them on the internet. I think RememberDBoon is a repressed closet Republican. uncle wilco
thanks for the insight. youre still a republican after the last 8 years???!! WHY?i haven't been a Republican for 15 years. i'm an independent conservative likely to vote for Obama simply for the lack of any viable conservative in the race. i do not simply vote Republican by default. i can't stand the current Republican field besides Thompson, who's NOT going to get the nod. have you not paid any attention to what i've been saying? But guess what, people are allowed to have opinions and shouldn't have to deal with an underinformed moron shouting at them on the internet. Sorry Bobbob but is has to be pointed out and pounded home every day just how badly the republicans have failed on nearly all levels during the Bush admnistration. From Iraq to that taxpayer hosing prescription drug bill to all the corruption that blossomed and flourished. That should be included in every democrat stump speach. They should point it out , point out that it calls for major change and then tell how they are going to deliver that change. It's campaign time, get used to it. Besides republicans never tire of their standards do they? You know them by heart now...Teddy Kennedy the murderer, Bill Clinton the womanizer, Obama the radical muslim in hiding (along with prominently using his middle name and rhyming his first name with Osama). Hillary's an ambitious ice queen, the liberal press, the liberal hollywood elitists, Thhey hate the troops, they hate America, they blame America first, activist judges (except when they are our activist judges), tree huggers, they want to kill business, and so many more... and of course the grand daddy of them all "But Clinton..." It's all part of campaigning and politics, and in the case of republican incompetance it is so very scarily true. Face it, now is the time for a major change and the reason for a major change is because of the performance of one political party. Get used to it.
uncle wilco
why would any conservative vote for Obama?? would you vote for Hillary?? why dont you like McCain??i believe my response to that question is around pages 19-21 of this thread. i don't feel like repeating myself. i will say that there is no possible scenario that i would EVER vote for Hillary...ever. Good Old Neon
again, enough of your generalizations. Rush has no influence over me and really, he's lost much of it over the years with the Republicans and Conservatives. He's a relic from the 80's in my opinion. He's a hypocrite and prescription drug abuser. if Thompson is a member of the Hollywood Elite, he's barely on the B-List. He certainly doesn't have an elitist attitude. I like Thompson simply for his stance on the issues, which really should be what we are voting on. Not his appearance. You want to vote on best hair-do, American Idol is coming back soon enough. As a candidate, he's dreadful and does himself no favors with his lack of campaign skills and apparent lack of interest. He's not getting elected the way he carries himself. But if he did, he would govern well while wearing a wrinkled suit and looking like he hasn't slept in months. That being said, no Republican will win this election anyway...unless Hillary gets the nomination. Ummmm
explodo
When Hillary was behind, the tears showed weakness. When Hillary won NH, the tears were calculating. I love it.I thought they were calculating all along, for what it's worth. I was surprised sparks didn't start shooting out of her ears. Evil robots aren't capable of anything genuine. tugmoose
OBAMA CAMPAIGN PLAN: THE NEXT 4 WEEKSWed Jan 09 2008 11:25:44 ET FROM: David Plouffe, Obama Campaign ManagerDATE: January 9, 2008RE: The Next Four Weeks Coming off an impressive win in Iowa and taking the once inevitable frontrunner down to the wire in her firewall state, it is clear that Obama is well-positioned to become the next President of the United States. As the people of Iowa and New Hampshire demonstrated, the American people desperately want change they can believe in. Barack Obama is the candidate to deliver that change by bringing people together, standing up to the special interests, and telling people what they need to know. Our campaign now turns its focus squarely to Nevada and South Carolina, and February 5th. Today, we kick off the next phase of our campaign in New Jersey, an important February 5th state. Fundraising In the 4th Quarter of 2007, our campaign raised $23.5 million

willywoody
Hey. Before this thing runs completely off the rails could we get back to the task at hand and start handicapping the South Carolina primary? yes you can stick a fork in edwards after SC. he will be done. he trails abysmally in the polls and has for the past year. it's gonna be tight with obama and clinton despite what the recent polls showed. mccain will not win in SC. i bet huckabee wins another, as they say there'll be upwards of 60% evangelicals voting in the republican primary. Sweet Papa Crimbo
ummmm...maybe you should stop listening to limbaugh then. that's what i did. you are letting opinions of insignificant blow-hards ruin your day. don't let it bother you man. name-calling is just an attempt to detract from ones own insecurities. it's not worth giving them an audience or acknowleging them. Good advice in general.

Regardless of his influence on you personally you have to admit that Limbaugh and so many others of his kind, Hannity, Dobson, Coulter, Malkin, O'Reily, etc... do weild considerable influence over a fairly large number of "conservatives" and republicans. It is exactly this influennce that gets these guys (conservative talk show types) invited to the White House again and again.

Ok make your list...I'll bet none of them have the audience or influence of a limbaugh a dobson or a hannity. On top of that these guys get invited to the white house to hear about policy and get inside scoop. Good job on tossing in the leftist whack-job comment. Very constructive I'm guessing there's nothing wrong with the Dem stereotypes of Repubs because they're right. I'm not stereotyping when I say that the Bush adminsitration and the years of republican rule have been a disaster. And I'm not advocating using the "stereo types" (Racist, hate the poor etc...though my brother in law fits those nicely) No, I'm advocating that every democrat candidate needs to run on the republican party's performance record over the last 8 years. They need to beat it over the heads of their opponants from now till november and not let people forget it. But which stero types are you talking about anyway? The ones where whenthey discuss Obama thecomentators seem to have aneed to point out that he is not like other black or not like Al Sharpton or Jesse Jackson? Heck, what exactly is Fox saying these days? Is O'reily still going on about eating in a black restaraunt and being pleasantly surprised that people were not demanding more MFing iced tea? Are they still lumping everyone who is not abush boot licker as being an out of touch radical liberal elitist? They surely are bashing the heck out of Hollywood still and the NY Times. Though I agree the democrats are guilty of the same sorts of ad hominem attacks, you almost sort of have to admit the righter wing of the republican party has taken smearing, name calling, red baiting, etc to a whole new level

I'm guessing there's nothing wrong with the Dem stereotypes of Repubs because they're right. ummmm DUH!
