Guest Speed Racer
Lila, from Season 2? I just couldn't ever believe that he hooked up with her. Having seen none of Season 5, I find it hard that Lumen would just "disappear," since the show has never seemed particularly interested in loose ends.
KevinG
There are too many loose ends to wrap in an hour of TV. Things that have to happen, the death of Chase, the discovery of Liddy and its fallout, Miami Metros dealing with the barrel girl case and Lumen. I would imagine she lives, but doesn't stick around. Also isn't their another Santa Muerte killer out there? I can't see how they can do it all.

There are too many loose ends to wrap in an hour of TV. cre618
IMHO Season 1>4>2>5>>>>>>>3 But, overall, I did like this season. Now, for a question to discuss.... SPOILER ALERT.............Does Deb know anything? That line at the party "You must be relieved..." makes me wonder.
GtrPlyr
SPOILERS AHEAD After last seasons dark ending I had feeling they had to go a bit lighter this time around. I didn't think film actress Stiles would be back for another season, figured they'd have her leaving Dexter in the end. Killing her off would have been too ridiculous considering all of Dexter's previous girlfriends/wife have been killed off. It's too bad though, she was the most compatible woman he's had in his life so far. The one thing I thought they might have had is Deb finding out Dex was part of the vigilante couple. That scene with Deb talking to them through the curtain was a bit too far-fetched even for Dexter I thought. It also seemed ridiculous that Quinn was cleared so quickly soley on the fact that the blood on his shoe wasn't a match. He would still be a person of interest for sure considering all the phone calls and checked out surveillance gear.
cryptique
I wouldn't be surprised to see Lumen back next season, but only for a brief appearance or two. Maybe right at the end of the series ... perhaps Dexter will find a way to let go of his "dark passenger" at last and no longer feel the compulsion to kill -- at which point maybe he and Lumen could be reunited. That would be cheesy, but I can see them going that way just to give the series something other than the Dexter-gets-caught-and-goes-to-jail-or-dies ending. I doubt the final season will end without Deb knowing ... maybe not everything, but something. The apparent truce between Quinn and Dexter will be an important part of next season, I think. I wonder if Maria Doyle Kennedy will return as Sonya. Her talents were largely wasted this season.
KevinG
I was kinda meh on the season finale. My concerns about too much to wrap up where justified. Everything seemed to be rushed to a conclusion and too neat. I kinda wish the Dex / Quinn thing didn't get resolved. I think the story plays out well when there is some one who knows what is up with him, or thinks that is the case. I really liked it when Doakes was a constant thorn in his side. What I didn't like is the "casual" killing Dex did. The guy in the rest stop early in the season and Liddy. Both of those went against the "code" Sure they were probably scumbags, but did they meet Dex's rigorous code. No. It makes Dex just a plain old murder and not a vigilante. It also bothered me when he killed Rita's husband.
lamradio
SPOILER ALERT Good season. Dexter never disappoints.. .Didn't get the shocking ending that I was expecting, but it was still done well.... And for some reason I suspect that Deb knew it was Dexter that killed Jordon... The way she was talking to him when he was doing the blood analysis... Something along the lines of "you think you know someone when you really don't...." She could have been talking about Quinn... Or herself.... Or Dexter..... hmmmmm... Also just wanted to mention that Johnny Lee Miller (Jordan) did an outstanding job... He certainly gave me the creeps, even more-so than Trinity. Especially in the final episode..

KevinG
He didn't, so you can wash your hands of that. Oh that is right, he did the drug overdose and then he got sent to prison and then he was killed. I thought he died during the drug overdose. Silly me.
Vacant Horizon
i thought it was a good episode. i wish the killing of jordan had more to it. seemed like it could have been more emotional. never thought they'd wrap up the quin thing. this would have been a nice series finale as far as i'm concerned. dex has done it all, even had true love. now, it's back to normal. sis doesn't know and he can be a dad, but not worry about a wife. in fact, this and season one together would have made a very good series. too many times these things go down hill after a few seasons...except mad men which gets better :-) I wouldn't be surprised to see Lumen back next season, but only for a brief appearance or two. Maybe right at the end of the series ... perhaps Dexter will find a way to let go of his "dark passenger" at last and no longer feel the compulsion to kill -- at which point maybe he and Lumen could be reunited. lamradio
This will be his second divorce in five years... Hmmm... I wouldn't be surprised if it turns out he's been involved with Julia Stiles (Lumen).. Isn't that how he got hooked up with Jennifer Carpenter, working with her on Dexter?... Happens all the time.. Fuck I sound like a bad E! gossip reporter or something...
KevinG
Dexter and Debra file for divorce this puts Deb's chances of making out of next season alive at slim to none. I do believe MC Hall is an executive producer.
cryptique
Next season is almost certain to be the last, so maybe she'll survive.

lamradio
Michael C. Hall to star as Ulysses .S. Grant in a new Civil War series: http://www.toappomat...Appomattox.html If done right, this series looks awesome! I thought it was too good to be true at first.. Been a while since there's been a good Civil War series or movie.

Been a while since there's been a good Civil War series or movie. it sounds cool, but is it a legit movie / series? The website looks like it was done by a high schooler, and the majority of people staring in the thing have other projects going on? It also seems that whomever put this together just is going through popular actors who look like people form the civil war.

You know I thought the same thing at first (and still have my suspicians) but supposedly it's for real... They are on facebook and update quite often, and I've seen it mentioned on a few other websites.. And this one.. Who knows.. It's in very early stages so it could be one of those projects that never actually happens... Sort of like Spielberg's Lincoln movie... He's been wanting to do that for years (he even had Liam Neeson casted as Lincoln, but he dropped out).
Sweet Papa Crimbo
Michael C. Hall to star as Ulysses .S. Grant in a new Civil War series: http://www.toappomat...Appomattox.html If done right, this series looks awesome! I thought it was too good to be true at first.. Been a while since there's been a good Civil War series or movie. Looks like it could be a 21st Century version of Winds of War. Meaning stunt casting of big and moderate name stars. Paul Giamatti as James "Pete" Longstreet? Are you kidding me? Kix Brooks as Winfield Scott Hancock? I actually laughed out loud.Kevin Farley as Henry Halleck? Why? Because he has a high forehead and parts his hair in a partial combover? They really need to follow the example set by Band of Brothers and cast up and coming actors. This will focus the attention on the story being told and not the 'gotcha' factor. The Civil War was the anvil upon which our nation identity was forged. The South could have easily become an subjugated, insurgent state akin to Ireland pre-1916. Good people with strong motivations fought on both sides. Economic and Social differences were so important and the political tenor of the times precluded a non-military solution.
lamradio
Paul Giamatti as James "Pete" Longstreet? Are you kidding me? Kix Brooks as Winfield Scott Hancock? I actually laughed out loud. Exactly!! Especially for Longstreet. Longstreet was strong, stern, and determined... Paul Giamatti (although one of my favorite actors) always plays an insecure, scatter-brains kind of character... I don't know what they were thinking with that one.
