Doug C
I love being able to watch the new episode early on Monday instead of waiting until Sunday. This week's ratchets it up a notch from the Omar episode. Arguably, the best show in the history of TV.
Sweet Papa Crimbo
With Kima blowing the whistle on McNulty's scheme, it looks like Marlowe and most of his crew will walk. Chris is gonna take the fall for the 23 bodies. But what will become of McNulty and Michael?

Sir Stewart
Anyone know how many eps are left? (After what is it - ep 10 tonight)?
aricandover
10 is the final episode.
Sir Stewart
Sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee-it.
MattZ
With Kima blowing the whistle on McNulty's scheme, it looks like Marlowe and most of his crew will walk. Chris is gonna take the fall for the 23 bodies. Maybe. Or Freamon busts Levy for his mole in the courthouse and Levy sells out Marlowe to protect himself...?
Sir Stewart
Is it at least a two-hour finale? I mean - we got a lot to settle.
aricandover
Is it at least a two-hour finale? I mean - we got a lot to settle. I don't know, but I sure hope it's longer than an hour.
MattZ
Here's my prediction: Freamon blackmails Levy with the courthouse mole and Levy sells out Marlo and his crew to protect his own tail.Michael is the only one left standing and becomes the new badass.Daniels and Rhonda (?) look the other way on the Kima info after pressure from the Mayor.McNulty is fired and goes to live with his woman.Gus gets fired. Damn, I'd love to see another 3 episodes. EDIT: the crazy thing is I could just as easily see Marlo walking, McNulty in jail, the Mayor's career ruined, etc.
aricandover
maybe Lester can squeeze enough money out of Levy and Davis that we get a "Trading Places" ending, with him and McNulty on the beach: "Looking good, Billy Ray!" "Feeling good, Louis!" but probably not.
Sir Stewart
What was the significance of the wrong tag being on Omar's body in the morgue? I got nuthin.
Oil Can Boyd
Is it at least a two-hour finale? I mean - we got a lot to settle.I read somewhere it is 90 minutes.
MattZ
A friend just told me the wire finale is not on-demand.
Sir Stewart
I'm sorry for those who plan to watch it, but that sounds fair.
aricandover
A friend just told me the wire finale is not on-demand. confirmed. the on demand menu has a 1 minute promo about the finale not airing until next week. it's a montage of Clay Davis saying "Sheeeiit" over and over. OOO
Well, I watched the finale. What an amazing, amazing show. I hate that its off that air, but I am glad it was a creative decision. They kept things great throughout the whole show.
Sir Stewart
I've seen it now too. The Wire is over.
Oil Can Boyd
I'm bummed that it's over but I thought the finale was really good. It's funny - I am one of those people who liked the ambiguity of the Soprano's last episode but I also liked how they wrapped a lot of things up on the Wire last night. aricandover
I really enjoyed the finale, especially McNulty's fake wake and Michael becoming the new Omar, "Your just a boy" "And that's just a knee.". Also, Valcek being named Commissioner, ruled. "Fits like a glove!"
OOO
The only thing I didn't like was that templeton didn't get nailed. What?
aricandover
The only thing I didn't like was that templeton didn't get nailed. What? yeah, that pissed me off. I was kinda hoping McNulty would go public with the whole thing, just fuck him over.
Sir Stewart
I gotta watch this episode again - I feel like it just washed over me, and I didn't take anything in - Valcek as commish: totally forgot about that. Awesome.
MattZ
They didnt go into much detail about what happened to Gus. I assume he just got demoted? And the guy who wrote the piece on Bubs became the city editor?
