Where are all of those AM and BT tracks that they now know how to play?EDIT - The SummerTeeth love is nice though.
Edie
Well, Summerteeth and Can't Stand it are certainly new (old that is)
H.Stone
Nice! Summerteeth, Can't Stand It, Kingpin... I'd say those are some nice additions, even if they aren't as numerous as some may have hoped for.
LouisvilleGreg
Actually I'm surprised that Can't Stand It got played, I always thought Jeff hated that song?
El Picador
I was kinda hoping they'd keep doing the 2 set thing 'like The Dead'. I imagine most of what was played during the residency will make it into the regular song rotation along with the most of the newer material and standards.
Wilco Worshipper
Oh man...what are the chances they'll play Too Far Apart or Airline to Heaven again on Sunday?!?
H.Stone
Actually I'm surprised that Can't Stand It got played, I always thought Jeff hated that song? Maybe we're taking the lyrics too literally?
LouisvilleGreg
Are they only playing the top requested song for each city? If so it'll be California Stars every time. It's the only Wilco song members of my family know and love, thanks to my sister having it be a prominent part of her wedding.
Edie
If I am counting right, its pretty balanced -- more than the most recent previous regular sets: SBS 5MA 3YHF 5ST 6AGIB 4AM 1BT
kimcatch22
Kingpin is my song, and I am SO glad it's back!!
Jimmy Coulas
I was thinking that the band would really dig deep into the catalog for the whole tour, but I guess not.
froggie
was that the actual order of the setlist?. doesnt seem like the normal
mountain bed
Six Summerteeth tunes in one show. I should look back and see how long it's been since that happened (minus the last week possibly).
lessthanIthink
I was kinda hoping they'd keep doing the 2 set thing 'like The Dead'. With an opener, I would think it would be one set. A 23 song set with a 1 song encore is a big format change from the "standard" show.
bgalizio
Well, you guys will have to wait a little bit for the torrent. I made a rookie mistake and had my deck on record-pause until halfway through the 2nd song. Thankfully another taper was there, so I can patch his first 2 songs into my source. H.Stone
I was thinking that the band would really dig deep into the catalog for the whole tour, but I guess not. This is still an SBS tour.
Guest Speed Racer
I was thinking that the band would really dig deep into the catalog for the whole tour, but I guess not. Do you believe that your actions today are entirely indicative of your actions for the next six weeks? This was Cleveland, not "the whole tour."
Gaz
was that the actual order of the setlist?. doesnt seem like the normal Indeed it was, I was writing it down as it happened. We had a really funny and chatty Jeff last night. He schooled Cleveland on Rock 101 and 202 (this was during Kingpin). Rock 101 was "insert city in song" (living in... Cleveland). Rock 202 was "call and response." I don't think most of the crowd knew what to do during Kingpin's "How can I" part.
Exena
With an opener, I would think it would be one set. A 23 song set with a 1 song encore is a big format change from the "standard" show. Jeff said they wanted to squeeze in as much as they could due to the dreaded curfew (this was at a high school). Thus the long set with a one song encore. He was indeed very talkative and darned funny all night. Right on when he mentioned that the crowd was "painfully sober" due to a dry venue...good times though! lukadiesel
I was pleasntly surprised by last night's set. The past shows I've seen of them (on the SBS tour & some of the KT tour)...all of the songs in the sets fell into a rhythm. You could usually feel what was coming next. Tonight, I was completey surprised by each song they played. It also seeemed like the most positive & upbeat shows I've seen in a while. Also, after the show we got to talk to most of the band. Jeff said that would love to do the "catalog" shows again in a year or so...maybe even somewhere else other than Chicago. They all said they loved playing last week. John also said that after Australia, they were pretty much done touring except for some festivals. He also said that they probably end up playing Lollapalooza.
Three dollars and 63 cents
I was hoping for Too Far Apart tonight, but oh well. That's an interesting order for the setlist. I wonder if they'll highlight a certain album each night the way they did Summerteeth last night. Did John Doe go on at 7:30 or 8? I'm hoping 7:30, because otherwise that doesn't give him much time to play.

jsquiddles
So just for the record, the dreaded curfew cut them short. After snagging a setlist they were supposed to play Sunken Treasure, Casino Queen, and Outtasite as the "traditional" encores, but when they returned for the encore after the houselights went up, Jeff explained they only had time for one song and proceeded to play Hate it Here which was not on the list at all
