aricandover
Jeff also did the score for the film.
DAngerer09
Without ever hearing Glad It's Over, I can already say it will be better than a handful of songs that made it on to SBS.

DAngerer09
I still can't figure out why The Thanks I Get was left off. Would have been a solid track, plus it would have made a good radio single.
aricandover
I still can't figure out why The Thanks I Get was left off. Would have been a solid track, plus it would have made a good radio single. get rid of, "Shake it Off" and "Leave Me Like You Found Me", and replace them with, "The Thanks I Get" and "Let's Not Get Carried Away (Again)"
WilcoIsLove
I Love Leave Me Like You Found me.. its a beautiful song
TheMaker
Yeah, I think One True Vine is the best thing the SBS sessions yielded. One of my favourite Wilco songs. And that's Jeff singing in the movie! Listen closely.
Sir Stewart
I still can't figure out why The Thanks I Get was left off. Would have been a solid track, plus it would have made a good radio single. Seriously. Still seems like a hell of an odd choice.

Listen closely. I have, many times, and I'm sure it isn't him. the guy singing kinda sounds like Jeff, when he strains to hit the higher notes, but it aint Jeff. lost highway
The real question is when does this new track freakin leak?
LouisvilleGreg
Holy fuck "Let's Not Get Cariied Away!" Damn, I can see why that was left off of the album, because it surely wouldn't have fit at all, but what a great rocker. I speak on behalf of at least a dozen of us who attended all five residency shows, when I say we want it high on the shortlist of songs that we're overlooked this year, that we'd love to see next time. So go ahead and make a note of it now please. Yours respectfully, People who hang out in 8 degree weather for the fun of it.

bigideas
Check it out: http://www.pitchforkmedia.com/page/news/48...roes-soundtrack this doesn't go to anything Wilco.it just goes to the general news page which already has SBSW stuff on it.what was it supposed to be? you ever seen a ghost?
no, it goes to the Heroes soundtrack story, but i mean, that was a couple of weeks ago and i think that was even the news story that sparked this thread in the first place. i'm totally going to go to a "thoughts on SBS" thread and post a link to the pitchfork story that broke the tracklisting. -justin

It was not the story that was linked at the beginning of this thread, and if you only saw this thread, I don't think you would have seen that link previously. We do ask that people do a quick search to see if something like that's already been posted, but there's no need to get snarky. gogo
OK. But around here, four pages deep = less than two weeks old. Not everyone checks the board every day, or has wilcoworld as their homepage, or gets google news alerts for "Wilco", or whatever. I know for some of us (myself included) that seems impossible, but there you go.
