I love that Brian talks and gets drunk and drives a car and has sex with humans and noone cares. awesome.

Of course, this may have some sort of hidden psychological meaning and I'm too dense to know it.

agreed. brian is the best character on that show for sure. and Cleveland is the wrong choice for a spinoff. i mean, christ, i'd rather watch a show about Meg.

I love all of the Star Wars references. In the making of "Blue Harvest", they talk about how all of the writers are huge Star Wars geeks.. When they first started using the Star Wars bits in their episodes, they would do them without permission. Well eventually, it dawned on them "I hope Lucas Arts doesn't sue us".. They asked permission, and Lucas was totally cool with it and loved the bits.. So they made an entire episode (Blue Harvest).. A must own DVD for all Family Guy fans..

We watched "Blue Harvest" last week with many laughs. It exceeded my expectations. The movie that was based around Stewie (I forget what it's called), was a little disappointing.

I don't know how to quote more than one person in a reply, but to Watch Me Fall, I was thinking that the other day too. Here we have a dog that is blatantly sexually attracted to Lois, has sex with humans.....we must be distracted by all the other craziness of the show. The episode where Stewie gets drunk and crashes the car is one of my favorites.

The whole Cleveland thing would be a bit boring after a while I would think. Even American Dad only hits once in a while. You got to have Quagmire if you are gonna do a spin off.

"Hey Meg, 18 yet?" :worship

Still the funniest show on TV by leagues. I'd watch anything that Seth MacFarlane affixes his name to. Uh, excluding that terrible short-lived series he did starring Rob Corddry, that is.

I am proud to say I am going to the same school he went to. It gives me a false sense of confidence to tell all the ladies that snapple fact.

family guy used to be a pretty good show. now it is simply a disconnect of obscure reference and intentionally offensive 'jokes'.

i stopped watching it a while ago and i can't believe they are doing a spinoff when they are already stretching for material.

Yea, basically they already have...its called American Dad.

While it isn't the same characters, it is pretty much the bush leagues of FG, with many of the same voices and situations.

Having a show about just Cleveland could get fairly offensive.

At it's prime, this show was seriously hysterical. It hasn't been very good almost since it was brought back on the air. It has it's moments, but for the most part they try way too hard. I watched a few episodes last season without laughing once.

My all time favorite episodes are the ones when Stewie drinks. When he's drunk and tries to jump from the counter to his chair? I die everytime I see that.

And also this little exchange, while both are drunk:

Stewie: I think the only reason we die...

Brian: I know what you are going to say!

Stewie: Wait, wait. I think the only reason we die is because we accept it as an inevitability. AH

And then later:

Brian: Stewie, you can't drive, you're drunk.

Stewie: And you're sexy.

Just the way they deliver the lines is brilliant. I think Stewie and Brian are definitely the funniest characters on the show, with Peter, Chris, The Mayor, the giant Chicken, Quagmire, Joe, Cleveland, Meg, that nerdy guy, and pretty much the whole town, and then Lois.

Yup - best thing about the show.

My favorite bit: Quagmire showing Chris "BOOB" on the calculator.

Chris: "What if we had two calculators and put them side by side?"

Quagmire (way too excited): "Yes. Yes. Find one. Find one."

I always thought the Family Guy, despite having its moments, was just poor toilet humor.

I have been enjoying the new Simpsons episodes over the past 2 years. The writers have really taken the humor in a darker direction and the new, emotionally disturbed Bart is a nice change. Some of the episodes over the last few weeks have been classics, such as The Presidential Primary episode, the Valentines Day episode featuring the Simpsons parody of "Sid and Nancy" and this past Sunday's episode of "The Debarted". They are back to doing interesting animation and stories with some heart, which is what set the Simpsons apart from other animated shows in the first place.

My favorite animated TV show: The Boondocks. Just sucks that they can't get episodes together quick enough.

Man, I need to chime in again here: I hate toilet humor. There's really fairly little of it in FG. As has been mentioned by several people (myself included) the show used to be quite good and now just resonates slightly with moments. With some toilet humor, too. It's hit/miss these days but when you hit an episode with a few gems it's worth it.
