Oil Can Boyd
"And in couples news. Rock 'n' roll muse Winona Ryder (Lost Souls) and Rilo Kiley guitarist Blake Sennett (Salute Your Shorts) are engaged to be married, according to Getty blog (thanks Kelly for the tip). This is exciting news because everyone likes Winona Ryder, and Blake Sennet makes us think about Jenny Lewis. Also? Winona Ryder dated, like, half our CD collection. An exclusive photo of the short-lived supergroup comprised of Winona's rock 'n' roll ex-boyfriends after the jump. Congrats, kids." Stereogum

RainDogToo
Even though for now this is just a rumor- if it's true I'm happy for her/them. At the same time I'm kind of jealous! Always knew she'd marry a rocker! http://blogs.gettyimages.com/entertainment...9/rock-of-love/ Winona Ryder reveled she is engaged to Blake Sennett, a guitarist in the indie rock band Rilo Kelly, at the fall 2008 Valentino fashion show in Paris. In addition to the surprising engagement, she and Sennett have been working on a film Water Pill and she

Good Old Neon
Eeeek - she looks spooky and corpse-like and like she is on a day pass from some sort of cult or something or other. I think she's trying to hypnotize us...

Good Old Neon
I can understand Demi Moore a bit but what is wrong with Michelle Pfeiffer? Aside from being an actress with little to no acting ability, nothing. She stopped being relevant right along side the Sega Genesis, at or about the same time.

W(TF)
I'm sure she's probably a nice person. Let's just say many of her acting roles have been a bit precious.
RainDogToo
I'm sure she's probably a nice person. Let's just say many of her acting roles have been a bit precious.Well...yeah, I guess I can see that. But, you should check out some of her films where she's not so precious. "The Crucible," "Celebrity," "Night on Earth," and her latest role in "The Infomers" is I hear anything but precious. In fact, the novel/ film centers around morally challenged young folks living in LA!! I just watched Bret Easton Ellis on Charlie Rose and he has said that the characters are much like the ones in "American Psycho!" That made me buy the book... I just haven't started reading it yet though.

Serak_the_Preparer
I went to college and lived in Winona, MN for four years. I heard that her parents traveled through Winona and thought it was beautiful (it is) and that is how she got her name. Not relevant to this thread, but I thought I would throw out some useless Winona Ryder on you all. Actually, they used to live there. Winona herself was actually born there and was name after the town. Also, this... Winona Ryder Is(n't) Engaged BY: Actress Archives | Monday, March 3, 2008 It depends who you ask. A number of news sources are claiming that the 36-year-old actress announced plans to wed rocker Blake Sennett while the two were attending a Valentino fashion show in Paris last Thursday.A number of sources say the rumors are completely untrue.Winona Ryder's rep told Access Hollywood, "No, not true," when asked about the engagement reports. The actress met Sennett, who plays guitar in the indie rock band Rilo Kelly and does some acting on the side, while the two were working on the upcoming film "Water Pill." Sennett, 31, was a TV regular in the early and mid-'90s, playing Ronnie Pinsky on Salute Your Shorts, and Joseph 'Joey the Rat' Epstein on Boy Meets World. But nowadays he's a rocker first and actor second. That makes sense, because, well, Winona likes her rock stars.he actress has been romantically linked with the Counting Crows' Adam Duritz, Foo Fighters' Dave Grohl, Jamiroquai's Jay Kay, Bright Eyes' Conor Oberst, and Ryan Adams. She was also engaged to Johnny Depp, of course - a three year relationship which left a "Winona Forever" tattoo on the Pirates' actor's arm. That tattoo has since famously been altered to read "Wino Forever."Winona Ryder's film work has slowed down a little bit over the years since the peak of her fame in the mid-'90s. Winona fever may just get its second wind however, as she's set to play Spock's mother in J.J. Abrams' 2009 Star Trek.
HungryHippo
she should get to work on her memoirs...now that'd be an excellent read!
RainDogToo
she should get to work on her memoirs...now that'd be an excellent read! Yeah, that sure would be a great read. Though, I think it will be a long time before we see that happening. In the mean time I just wish she would do good films like she used to! She does have a couple films coming out soon. One comes out this year (The Informers) and one next year (The Private Lives of Pippa Lee) that seem very promising for her!
Dude
Kind of off topic, but here is a video of Winona on SNL from 2002 wearing a Wilco shirt! Winona (in 2000): I mean, you know Jeff Tweedy, I think he has one of the best voices I have ever heard. Conan O'Brien: Well, you bring it up, Wilco is on the show. And you are huge fan of Wilco? Winona: I'm the most enormous fan of Wilco ever. Conan: So you're gonna do us a favor: you will introduce them later on. Will you do that? Winona: Yeah, I'm trying to think of a good... I'm nervous.. Later that show she intro'ed them as the "best band in America".
