bleedorange
Thanks for the news! I was extremely disappointed with The Forgotten Arm, so I'm hoping her new one will put her back on track.
Duck-Billed Catechist
I heard a few tracks from this. Sounds really promising.

jff
Thanks for the news! I was extremely disappointed with The Forgotten Arm, so I'm hoping her new one will put her back on track. Same goes for me.

solace
i should note that i wasn't really much a fan of hers until the last one, so that's probably part of it just really dug the storyline and some of those songs stuck in my head for days
remphish1
I have been seeing her live at least once a tour since 2002. I just purchase a ticket to see her in Brooklyn and can't wait for the new album!
Duck-Billed Catechist
Let's see if we can get A-man posting in this thread. I did not know that Aimee contributed vocals to a Rush album.
Wendy
Aimee is opening for Squeeze late summer in Detroit, and I've never seen either of them, so this is a fantastic double-bill. I need to re-watch this DVD: I love the part where her band-mates are interviewed and they state how much they love working with her songs, because she writes songs with efficient structure which makes for easy collaboration and development -- or something along those lines. Wise Up (from Magnolia) From the DVD "Live at St. Ann's Warehouse"
pnêyu
Aimee's albums tend to be growers. I thought I didn't like either Lost in Space or Forgotten Arm very much, but months later, I went back to them because I suddenly remembered a melody or a lyric, and I can't stop listening. Also, I'm looking forward to suggesting "Freeway" for Car Talk's interstitial music.
KevinG
The leak is in the usual places, and I think is is much better then the Forgotten Arm, no story line, but a solid effort.
PopTodd
That trio format is the same one she had when I saw her back in December or whatever.I take it she's not touring with a full band, then? Oh, and the couple of songs that I have heard from Forgotten Arm, I've thought are wonderful.

owl
Full album stream:http://spinner.aol.com/artists/new-release...ds?defaultTab=2I like it.
bsr8j
I picked this album up yesterday when I went to get the new Weezer. I agree that her albums can be growers, but right away "Freeway" and "Borrowing Time" stand out as really great songs. I really like the Moog--at least I think it's a Moog--on "Freeway."
