Any good advice on hotels close to The Pageant?

Presale for the Saturday show is Wednesday, and the regular sale starts Friday. I signed up for the Pageant's newsletter in the hopes that I'll get information about a presale if they have one on Thursday.

Venus, I just realized I never responded to your last PM. :o

were'd you find this info? Never mind I found!

Thx, $3.63. I see that it starts at 10am CST.

That works great for me, since I teach from 8 to 10:50 on Wednesdays. That will give me just enough time to get across campus and back to my office in time. And I'll remember my login this time! I'm not as worried about the presale this time, since I'll be near a computer on Friday, but it would still be nice to have fan club tickets all three nights.

It's my turn to finally ask a question! This is the first time I've been successful in getting fan club tickets. What does it entail?

I think if nothing else it will get us in before people who bought tickets in the general sale. At the show in Upper Darby I went to back in February, there was some sort of meet and greet after the show, and the buzz was that it was for people selected from the fan club. I don't know how true that was, but it would be cool to have a shot at something like that.

We're in for all three shows, too! Brian was able to get 2 for Saturday, but Music Today wouldn't let me log in. Oh well. We're still in! :dancing

All set up in front of the cpu this a.m...and emergency strikes at work. Tried 10 minutes ago and they're out. Barf.

I'm gonna have to play the game with the scalping scumbags on Craigslist. Whee.

There's still the Pageant pre sale tomorrow at 11 and the regular onsale through Ticketmaster on Friday at 5.

That presale was gone in under 10 seconds. This sucks, I guess I'll have to show up in person tomorow, I can't count on my damn pc.

I'm thinking Rick's Place. Don't even try to Google it; this place is such a dive bar it's not even in the phone book. The owner's an old hippie/ex roadie who loves teh Wilcos. He has the best jukebox in town. If you want to drink bottles of cans or cheap beer (no taps) and sing along to "We've Been Had" or "Dreamer in My Dreams" on the jukebox, that's the place to be. Seriously. I think we all need to make a pilgrimage before getting in line for the Saturday show.

Would you be speaking of the O'Fallon Rick's Place? If so, I too can appreciate the hole-in-the-wall crappiness of this fine establishment. Where else can you buy a can of Busch beer for $1.25 out of a wash tub?

That would be the place! I'm fancy, though. I bypass the washtub cans of Busch in favor of the bottles of PBR. I always spend more money at the jukebox than on beer at Rick's. I love that I can spend under $20 for a night of great music and a pretty steady buzz.

I also love that one of the bartenders told me where I can find moonshine in Fairview Heights.

Good idea, but they frown upon patrons walking around bellowing, "Casino Queeeeeeeeeeeeeen! My lord your mean!". This, I know from experience.

Don't drink and gamble, guys.

Oh boy, this sounds like trouble. And I mean that in the best way possible. Hopefully I'm 100% healthy by then and can drink at full speed again. (Getting mono as an adult has been just about the worst thing ever!)
