altrock
I haven't seen every set list for recent shows the past few months so pardon me if this is a dumb question but has Wilco played any "new" songs not on Sky Blue Sky while on tour? If I'm not mistaken I don't think they have or I am sure someone here would have posted about it. Have they ever snuck a few new ones in their sets in the past before they have recorded them? zebra
I haven't heard of any new songs, but were you aware of the Chicago Residency shows and all the songs they played there?

Yeah, I was aware of that......I guess they are on more of a nostalgia tour this time around........
WaronWar
I still think they are touring behind "Sky Blue Sky." And I wouldn't call it a nostalgia tour because if anything the older songs sound fresh and great with this lineup. Moreover, if they are being "nostalgic,"- which I do not think they are- then I love it because how many bands in one show can jump from "Casino Queen," "Pieholden Suite," to "Less Than You Think." markosis
how many bands in one show can jump from "Casino Queen," "Pieholden Suite," to "Less Than You Think." Not to mention doing each with stunning precision and clarity. That is why they are the greatest rock and roll band around.
froggie
no new songs since SBS came out. during the residency, a lot of the older stuff could be considered as "new", being played with the current line-up.

I wasn't complaining.....Just wondering if any new tunes were floating around out there.....
DAngerer09
Hopefully plenty of new tunes are floating around in Jeff Tweedy's head.

lost highway
I bet there's nine or ten new Wilco songs. I also bet it might be nine or ten months before anyone hears one of them (unless they're hanging out at the loft.)

lamradio
With all of their touring lately, I don't know how they would have time to write new songs.. Allthough I remember in a previous thread, that someone asked John about the ETA on a new album and he said it would be sooner than you think.
