Any rumors as to who will be opening Wilmington (or Brooklyn)? The shows are still months away but all of the other non-festival shows now have openers listed.

Any chance they'll do without?

Wilcoworld is showing that someone named Jennifer O'Connor will be opening at Wilmington and Brooklyn.

:w00t It's a long drive, and gas prices are a little prohibitive...but I'm still considering it. :yes

Just keep considering, just keep considering.... :lol

Thanks for the heads up. They must have posted that late yesterday or early today.

Now to figure out who she is...

I saw her open for Tweedy a couple years ago in Raleigh. Pretty good from what I remember of her. I didn't rush out to buy any of her music, but I've seen alot worse.

My brother introduced me to Jenniffer's music, which I've really gotten into. I wish she was opening up for them in Spokane.

Does anyone know anything about the "Fleet Foxes"? I've never heard of them...

I just checked and they added a date in Idaho...maybe i can convince my friend to go to that one, and then to Spokane... :shifty

well looks like charleston got royally screwed again, at least from what i gather about bon iver on pitchfork.tv sorry, i know some here think they're the cat's meow but not me.

schnoooooooooooze.

and retribution gospel choir is out there kicking ass and likely blowing wilco off the friggin stage.

willywoody, an opener that you disapprove of amounts to you being 'royally screwed' by Wilco? Just a tad hyperbole and retro-anger, perhaps? I don't think anyone complained more than I did about the SNL deal but come on!

And this is neither here nor there but after 3 nights of the Retribution Gospel Choir, I'll welcome Bon Iver with open arms.

Man, I'm beginning to think the people of Charleston just canNOT be pleased! :hmm

That's why I moved...

No really, I'm looking forward to Bon Iver... Just listen to his record a few times, you'll fall in love with it.

By the third time I saw them, they were tolerable. In a different situation, I might've enjoyed them. I thought John Doe was a great opener and would've loved getting to see him for three more nights.

As things stand now, Andrew Bird will be my next opener :dancing

i would have rather had an artist the caliber of john doe (legend) or retribution gospel choir (my flavor of the month/year) than bon iver from what i heard on the performance on pitchfork.tv. that is one reason why i'm miffed. another is that in the intervening 8 months , my work schedule has changed and the weekday date may coincide with when i'm out of town rather that the previously scheduled friday night date. it's still so far away that i can't even figure it out yet.

hey, it's not that difficult to understand that a rescheduled date may not work out for a lot of people when it's moved from a weekend to a weekday. and if i'm in town that day and can go to the show i probably have to get up at 5:30 the next morning for work instead of being able to party it up and enjoy the show and peri-show gatherings with other wilco fans. so there's my beef with the changes. don't mean to rain on everyone's parade.

so bon iver must be a hell of a lot better than what they sound like on that pitchfork.tv show from how everyone here is carrying on about them? any other online sources to get to know him/them better or is that a representative show?
