Thinking about selling my drumstick...

Recommended Posts

I went to the March 8th show in Tulsa, OK and one of the stage hands threw me a drumstick signed by Glenn Kotche with the date scrawled next to his name. I'm not sure if I want to try to sell it, but is it worth anything on Ebay or something? It's a pretty cool item.

If you do that it's going to send a pretty bad message to a band who is cool enough to bestow such treats upon fans. :yucky

Actually I have far stronger words for this person. First time poster, not a fan, willing to try and make money on a band momento which isn't really worth anything; this is a new low. You never should have taken the drumstick if you didn't really want to keep it. Some other fan will love it like crazy. Selling this is ridiculous...

Another option would be to take that drumstick and store it in a very, very special place.

The guy doesn't want it, but plenty of others would cherish it.

The only honorable thing to do at this point is to give it away, or have a charity auction.

Or maybe an essay contest.

You guys sure are harsh on the new folks. This drumstick is likely worth $1100-$2100 depending on it's condition. Good luck!

condition is important but i think whats more important is weather it was used by glenn or was it just a spare. if it was used, then during what song(s) and on whom by whom. ususally, i like alot of info before i bid but i have a good feeling about this so i'll start the bidding at $1,750.00 sight unseen.

I have a guitar pick (fender medium) signed by the whole band. That's gotta be worth a buttload of $$$.

Great first post. Maybe the drummer in your band could use the stick at your next gig that I'm sure you'll be plugging with your second post.

That was my 13,129th post, and I'm not in a band, unless you count ction's band, and why would you do that?

It's interesting that he signs them before they get chucked out. Maybe the roadie made a mistake and he signed it because it was his favorite stick and he didn't want to lose it. You might want to check and see if there's an address -- drop it in a mailbox like a hotel key ....
