RaspberryJam
I only caught the end of that, but it sounds as though Alan Chartock wasn't part of that, thank God! If Jeff Tweedy had to talk to him, he would never step foot in the northeast again.

viatroy
damn, one of the few days I wasn't listening to WAMC. It's my usual constant companion when I'm home. I even like Alan and the fund drive.
blindgonzo
at the beginning of the hour, Jeff said that they were shooting for a spring release of the new album...!!!
DAngerer09
Spring 2010, imo.
kickingtv2
It was interesting to hear that Jeff didn't want the next album to sound like any of the previous albums. I mean, that should probably be expected at this point...but damn! How many totally different albums can one band make? That being said, if there's one band to do it, it'd be this one... RaspberryJam
They're playing little bits of Wilco this morning between all of the segments in prep (I assume) for Tanglewood tonight.
H.Stone
Spring 2010, imo. In the interview he says, "Hopefully in spring of next year." I can't imagine he'd call 2010 "next year."
froggie
> How many totally different albums can one band make? off topic, but Ed Kuepper did an album in 1996 where he deliberatly made every song on it sound completely different

Wilco Eyeing Spring '09 For New Album: http://www.billboard.com/bbcom/news/articl...t_id=1003840065Since this thread is sorta about "Jeff Tweedy on WAMC, Listen online. "It's Wilco Hour!" ... head over to the billboard article thread if you want to comment on the billboard article. This just seems to be buried in this WAMC thread, that's all.
