The link on the Wilcoworld crawl goes to Obama's website....wonder if Obama is going to reschedule his Madison appearance that he canceled last week. It would be pretty sweet if Wilco is playing a free Obama ralley on Sat! ...or a least a concert in support of Obama? Anyone know any details? I have not been able to find any. Preferred B
Well, there was an article in the Cap Times today that quotes Governor Doyle as saying Obama is unlikely to be in Wisconsin before the election.

delmarkurt
Looks like it will be a fundraiser for Obama....Details still TBD...Here is an article from todays Wisconsin State Journal: MON., OCT 27, 2008 - 10:36 PM Wilco to play Concert for Change in Madison on Saturday Chicago-based band Wilco will perform a Concert for Change on Saturday, according to the band's Web site. The location of the concert has not yet been announced. Previous Concert for Change events have been fundraisers for Barack Obama's presidential campaign. It's the same day as Madison's third annual Freakfest Halloween celebration. Beginning at 7 p.m. on several Downtown stages, several other bands will perform, including O.A.R. at 12:30 a.m. Sunday as the headliner on the Mountain Dew Amp/Z104 stage at the corner of State Street and the Capitol Square. A stage on State and Gilman streets will feature local acts such as Natty Nation, Awesome Car Funmaker and The Box Social, among others. Link To Article
uwmryan
I find that really hard to believe....Guess we'll have to wait and see. I would be shocked/surprised if the event is held outdoors. I was outside for 5 mins this morning and hated every second.
Tanner
Yeah, the Union doesn't sound plausible...There was frickin' sleet yesterday. I really hope/think it's indoors. Barrymore? High Noon? Inside the Capitol????
uwmryan
Rumor :: Union Theater - noon
indy81
Rumor :: Union Theater - noon God, I hope this is true. I can't make it to a night show. Plus, you'd think Wilco would want to get the hell out of Madison before "Freakfest" descends upon the downtown area.
solace
if it's at Noon... wonder if there's any possibility of them being the special guest here in St. Paul with the Beastie Boys, Ben Harper, & Tenacious D at 7pm... not likely, but hey

Bummer there is no other way to get tickets.
indy81
I'm guessing it'll be a relatively short acoustic set -- like the Bridge School shows, except without Nels and Glenn. I'm in.
Beltmann
Bummer. There's no way I can get to Madison to snag two tickets.
