blureu
I believe they were included on the Sasquatch lineup announced earlier today. Guess they'll hit the west coast then.
Guest Wilco Rules Me
Fan of the Last Broadcast but never got any of their other stuff. I do enjoy that album but I was always worried that it would be more of the same but not as good. Looks like I was wrong (this one time). God loves.
Azzurri
Fan of the Last Broadcast but never got any of their other stuff. I do enjoy that album but I was always worried that it would be more of the same but not as good. Looks like I was wrong (this one time). God loves.  i think they've gotten better with each album. Some Cities is so underrated. i think it's clearly their best stuff. for example, i'd put the song Snowden against anything on Last Broadcast. that's one of their classics. Azzurri
awesome...pretty big tour this time. i hope they achieve some modest level of success here. and perhaps be as big as Elbow in their home country.  thanks for posting solace there are promos of the album out there, but no leak just yet. solace
funny thing is, pretty sure before this latest Elbow record and their Mercury Prize win... they WERE bigger than Elbow in the UK
Azzurri
you're right...Elbow only really broke out with Seldom Seen Kid. Â i think Doves were nominated for the Mercury Prize a couple of times too

blureu
What a bummer there are no dates south of D.C.
Mrs. Peel
And no MA or CT dates. Straight from Canada to NY.
scribex6
Can't wait to see them. It's been a long wait since they last toured over here. As much as I wish them success in the U.S., I' m glad I can still see them in relatively small venues.
Azzurri
the album is featured on stereogum's "heavy rotation" section...i guess they have a copy. lucky bastards. wonder if we'll get their "premature evaluation" soon.
Azzurri
http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/console/b00hzzlj they did a session on this radio program today. if you fast forward to 1:16 or so, you can hear the new song, "The Greatest Denier". probably a stripped down version of what appears on the record. Azzurri
well, the album is out there, and it's a monster. Amazing. the production is great. they deserve to be huge.
trevor
downloading this now, very excited. actually had Some Cities blaring this morning as I was making breakfast...I lost that CD a few years ago and only just got it back in the last month, and I'm enjoying it way more now than I did back when it was originally released. High expectations for this one, and especially excited because I'll be seeing them live in May...

solace
through track 5 this is REAL good... Winter Hill is just immense. i honestly don't expect them to top the first 2 for me ever, but this one is off to a better start than Some Cities got with me (which i grew to love)
