I've loved pretty much everything she has released. We definitely need to hear something from her (and Rawlings) soon.

The DRM have been regulars at the Largo out in L.A. since December. You can view the setlists at his myspace page. I believe Knuckleball Catcher and Sweet Tooth are DRM originals. I've been hoping to hear one of these shows but nothing has surfaced. If someone knows different please let us know.

Here's some reviews of the Largo shows:

The DRM have gigs in Solana Beach, LA, San Fran and Santa Cruz this month. Let's hope someone tapes these shows.

One last note - David & Gillian played with M Ward on Craig Ferguson last week.

this random blog had this to say about a new album. the part i don't get is the 'record company redtape'. she has her own label, acony bell. so is she just holding he self up with her own record company?

sidenote...youtube has some good david rawlings machine vids. this is one of the few bands i would love a dylan cover album or neil young or anything for that matter. :worship

Ginger Kowal, co-founder of the Dave Rawlings Machine fan-club and friend of the Tent Revue, had a chance to chat with Gillian and Dave when they stopped in Asheville last month, and she learned first-hand from Gillian that the new Gillian Welch album -- and there is one coming -- will probably not land on your iPod until 2009, thanks to record label red tape. I don't have any more details for you, but you should go join the DRM fan club on Facebook and get the full scoop from Ginger.

you know, i really liked time the revelator and hell among the yearlings. i feel soul journey is pretty weak by comparison. i think its good, i just dont think its as good as her other releases.

her cover of black star was really really awesome though, hah.

Gillian is the best. Such a genuine musician.

I love all the albums, but Revival is my favorite by far. If I was a musician that's the kind of album I would want to make. I can't tell you how many times "One More Dollar" has given me goosebumps.

It was about this time last year that my desperation for a new album from these two started to set in. I can't take much more waiting!
