patrickhayes
Or will "Wilco (the Album)" be the first album, excepting the Mermaid albums, that is recorded by the same lineup as the previous?
OOO
Leslie Feist is in the band now, so they fulfilled their "changing lineup" clause.

zebra
Wasn't there an interview where Jeff said she was not on the record?
bböp
Is she in the band? I thought she was just the 'guest start'.. I think it was a joke. Feist is definitely on the new record, on a sort of duet with Jeff on the song "You and I." And she's been a frequent collaborator with a number of different artists over the course of her career -- Broken Social Scene, Peaches, Kings of Convenience, among others. And to answer the original question, I think you are correct about this being the first album with the same exact lineup as the last one.
HighFives
maybe all the kids around here who are obsessed with feist for some reason will start to recognize Wilco. Who knows though.

spongebob
it depends if you count kicking television. first back to back studio, but number three if you are counting all albums. which should be done.....
ginandcigarettes
It might depend on what counts as a member, but they had a good run between MA, ST, and MA2 with Jeff, Jay, Ken, and John. Bob Egan was pretty much out of the band during MA even though he appears on it. And while Leroy was on ST and MA2, I'm not sure he was a full member until YHF. That is, Bob is a guest on MA (like [shudder] Natalie Merchant) and Leroy is a guest on ST and MA2, so it's the same lineup on all three records. That seems like a good enough story. Yeah, I'm going with that.
