Sweet Papa Crimbo
I am really digging this one lately... Wish Jeff wouldn't use this one as the sing along http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jVC1k9x2Ryw
cryptique
That's a great version. It lacks the loopy keyboards they've added more recently, which I loathe. The singalong last night was kinda lame, I gotta say. I mean, it's cool that everyone knows the words, but damn, Jeff, just sing it yerself. Maybe throw it over to us for the "Our love..." part, but otherwise, that song's all yours. (Please.)

GtrPlyr
I think the fact that of all their songs, this fairly mellow mid-tempo soul song is the one singled out as a singalong shows the perverse nature of the band. Not exactly the one in their catalog that screams singalong. You gotta love 'em for trying to make it one though .
H.Stone
See, and I hope he challenges Chicago to sing the whole damn thing.
Sir Stewart
I kinda wish this one was hardly ever played live. It's their best song, really. And the studio version is perfection.
Shining Sunbeam
I don't mind a singalong here and there, but when a performer gives over a whole verse or more of a song to the audicnec, that's just too much. It's not may favorite song in the Sprinsgteen canon, but he does that to the opening verse to 'Hungry Heart', and also to key parts in 'Thunder Road', which I like a lot. mountain bed
I kinda wish this one was hardly ever played live. It's their best song, really. And the studio version is perfection.I agree with the studio version being perfect, and I don't know about it being THE BEST song (although it comes close - I prefer Poor Places), but Jesus is the one song I never mind hearing. In fact I think it has been played every time I've seen the band. Now ITMWLY - PLEASE give it a rest. I don't care if I ever hear it again.
MunkyKayse
I kinda wish this one was hardly ever played live. It's their best song, really. And the studio version is perfection. I hate to admit that every time I've heard Jesus, Etc live, I've been a little underwhelmed. The only "live" version I've heard that I've enjoyed was the brief rehearsal clip from I Am Trying To Break Your Heart.
froggie
when i saw them in Sydney 2007, jeff made the audience to sing half of it - and it was one the highlights of the show

Guest Runaway Jim
Whoa, definitely have to read that post slowly. I believe I read it as you initially did. Hilarious.
Jesusetc84
My favorite song of the decade. Probably one of a few Wilco songs that never get old for me, no matter how many times they play it. They could play it twice a show and I wouldn't mind. "Walken", "Late Greats", and "I'm The Man Who Loves You" on the other hand.
