brianjeremy
You see, I was the opposite of you: I got One Mississippi when it came out, but I can totally dig where you're coming from. I got a Virgin sampler with an Alternative Press magazine back in the day with BB on it. I found a promo copy the next day for a buck. I had given up hope on anything from him. It was as if he fell off the face of the earth. I was on a trip to Chicago in '02 and picked up a local paper and noticed he was playing that night in town, but I already had tickets to another show. Not only that, he had a new album. I was pumped. I sought it out and loved it to death. Sure it's cheesy, but that's awesome to me. I love the production because it's truer and not as slick as One Miss. I guess I had had so much time with One Miss. that I was just happy to have a new album.

Calexico
I love this guy's stuff. First saw him supporting Josh Ritter and now that seems a strange pairing but since that night I have loved Lund's Canadian country music.
