Three dollars and 63 cents
Thanks! I've got a new and different reason to hate ticketbastard.......it won't work on my work computer. For some reason, the special code that you have to type in (the thing in weird text) doesn't show up, so I can't actually buy tickets. The weird text showed up with Frontgate, but for ticketmaster it doesn't. Oy! Have you tried from different browsers? It may be a plugin problem in whatever browser you're using. Also, doesn't TM have an option where it will play an audio captcha for people who are blind? You might try that, too.
Bart
Thanks for the tips. Unfortunatley this is a Goverment computer and damn near everything is locked down. IE is the only approved browser and I can't get the "weird text" window to pop up. The "audio" future is also disabled. Hell, they even disabled our USB ports! Anyhow, I'll just have to bring my personal laptop in and head to Starbucks for a, ahem, coffee break at around 9:45.
ditty
It's been a long time since I have tried ordering tickets over the phone but I used to do it quite a bit. Try calling in about 8 minutes before the onsale...ask what is going on sale this weekend...let them run through a bunch of stuff...ask them questions then as its a min or two before 10 a.m. ..."O yea, what about Jeff Tweedy dates" they bring them up and you score. http://www.ticketmaster.com/h/states/wdc.htmlContact UsMaryland, Northern Virginia, and Washington DC Fan Support Pages Charge-by-Phone202-397-SEAT (7328)410-547-SEAT (7328)800-551-SEAT (7328) Good luck! I second that! My nephew is a major Phish fan and this is his strategy as well, and he almost always scores. He confounds his friends who are clicking online with no success. Another possibility is to locate a Ticketmaster outlet with restricted access, like on a military base. If you can go there in person you might be able to luck out with a real live agent. Bart
Interesting. I didn't think they picked up the phone until 10 on the dot
Rusty Shackleford
Got my ticket in the regular sale! Now I just have to make sure I can actually go to the show that night...
Bart
I'll buy it if you can't go! I'm in the process of getting shut out on two fronts.
nurfherder
Got my ticket in the regular sale! Now I just have to make sure I can actually go to the show that night... Still no luck for me. All circuits busy on the phone, and nothing available online. Bastards!!!!
Bart
Haven't been able to get through on line but I just got through on the phone. "I'm sorry, that event is completely sold out". Eight minutes! Who knows when it was actually sold out? 10:04? 10:02? Uggh.
Bart
The ticketmaster site doesn't say it's sold out yet, so I'm still trying, but I don't have a good feeling
DintyMoore
What is the capacity of the Lincoln?
nurfherder
What is the capacity of the Lincoln? Not big. I got through on the phone and they said it was sold out.
Rusty Shackleford
What is the capacity of the Lincoln? I read somewhere it seats about 1250, which is only slightly more capacity than the 9:30 Club. This thing must have sold out quick.
dixiecupdrinker
I got two. Tried internet and phone, internet worked. Was on hold with Ticketbastard until well after 10. dcd

Bart
Strangely enough, after my failed attempt at Starbucks with my personal computer, I tried it again on my work computer and the "weird text" thing showed up. Starbucks was still my safest bet because lately the whole damn internet has been super slow at work. Of course in spite of my best attempts, I have zero tickets, so I hearby start the begging for your extras!!! Bring 'em on!
