okp greg
I've been using MediaMonkey to organize and listen to my music forever. iTunes on WIndows always seemed too clunky, and ultimately MediaMonkeys organizing and tagging features made it the best bet to me. Lately though I was thinking it'd be nice to separate my studio music from live recordings, and I was just wondering what everyone else uses for their media playing around here. okp greg
I love how it's easy to switch between your audio library/database to browsing by directories in MediaMonkey, is this possible in WinAmp? I haven't used it since back when I didn't have enough mp3s to require having a "library".

okp greg
Are any of these programs better at handling external harddrives than others? Mediamonkey and foobar handle an external with no problem. Is it always plugged in?
cryptique
What do you mean "handling"? I use Winamp at work and all of my music is on an external drive. The drive itself is sometimes a bit slow to get up to speed when I fire up a playlist, but I attribute that to the drive and not Winamp.
choo-choo-charlie
Are any of these programs better at handling external harddrives than others? I have a flash drive w/Winamp installed on it that works great for listening and converting files on the go btw various computers. I have an larger external at home that's always plugged in, and that actually runs a tad slower -- but in my case, I attribute it to a POS computer.
