lamradio
It's crazy.. I remember seeing Justin open for Wilco a couple years ago. He came on early when there were maybe 100 people in the venue, and no one really seemed interested. Now he's in a photo on the CNN website biting a Grammy.

welch79
his snl songs were very well done (beth/rest really shines live, as does holocene). also, it was neat seeing him win the grammy. at first, he was all, "i'm not going to the grammys...that's not what it's about." but, i guess he had a change of heart, went, and was really appreciative. i enjoyed his acceptance speech as well, giving a shout out to the multitudes of acts that are better than 97% of what the public sees on the grammy award show. rareair
I took his speech as a polite and rambling f you, esp when they wanted bon iver to perform but as part of a medley.

hwllo
so bon iver won't perform at the grammy's, but he's ok with SNL???
-seven
We're referring to a skit on last night's episode. But to your question, they were allowed to play their own songs on SNL (a week or two ago). The Grammy's were not going to allow them to do that.
