Welsh Rich
Nice idea, though I don't keep track of what I buy... not sure if I want to, might make me realise how much I spend!
lamradio
I forgot all about that new Ty Segall. What's your take on it PT? I'll probably go ahead and buy it today (without previewing first, no headphones at work.. I trust him).. I really liked his last record although I had to be in the mood for it. I'll probably go ahead and buy it today (without previewing first, no headphones at work.. I trust him).. I really liked his last record although I had to be in the mood for it. I've only listened to it once so far. That said, it's not bad. I think that I prefer Melted, though. The new one is a bit more mellow; doesn't have the same sort of insanity pervading that made the last one so much fun. Still, that said, it's worth checking out if you are already a fan. I'll be curious to get your take on it, too.

I'll be curious to get your take on it, too. Gave it a full listen yesterday on my way home from work. The first thing I noticed is the production is exactly the same as Melted. The guitar tone, the drums, the effects on the vocals... The songs are pretty similar too but just scaled back some. It almost sounds like it should be part two of a double disk with Melted being the loud/insane disk, and Goodbye Bread the more mellow disk. I like it but it didn't knock my socks off or anything. I still need to soak it in though.
